Chapter 1

Authors Note: Hello people of planet Earth! My name is BlueberryBatMuffin<3 and I mostly am going to be writing fanfics( this is my first story on Wattpad :)). I think I am going to publish all the chapters separately? Idk. I would really appreciate it if you would follow me and comment( I really need feedback). Story closed her laptop,pulled out her earbuds, and slid off her bed, a puzzled look on her face. She slowly crossed to the window where she had heard the ominous thump. She stood in front of the curtains, bracing herself for what she would find on the other side of the glass. Then, without hesitation, she flung open the curtains revealing an owl. Stunned on it's side laying on the concrete ledge high in the air the magnificent bird broke out of it's daze.  It then quickly flew off the ledge and into the bushes surrounding the streets. Then the owl perched on the ledge once again, this time holding a letter with a mysterious red seal in it's beak. The owl dropped the letter in front of Story then flew away without so much as a " WHO WHO!". Story cautiously picked up the letter from her now opened window and ducked her head back inside. She looked around her room for clues to what was going on but the only thing seemingly unusual were a few piles of clothes pushed up against her walls which were covered with pictures of Hello Kitty and Taylor Swift posters. She set the letter on her desk before closing the window and shutting out the sounds of New York City. She then grabbed the letter, gingerly opening the sticky ed seal. In side was a piece of parchment with words that were incredibly small and written in delicate script. Story pushed her caramel colored bangs out of her eyes so she could see. The letter read: " Dear Miss Candelbright, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School Of  Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please join us at Kings Cross Station, London on platform 9 3/4 to be escorted to our campus at 11:00 sharp. The list of required supplies is listed below:

Wand

Cauldron

School Robes

Books( 1st year starter pack)

Pet of your choice: Owl, Toad, Cat

 Story finished reading the letter and stared at it for a long time, wondering if this was a prank. London? Witchcraft and wizardry? Surely this was a joke. She clomped downstairs into her small apartments kitchen.

" Mom? Some weird owl gave me a letter!" She called. Her moms head snapped up from her phone. 

" What?! Is it that time already?". She was obviously startled by the news.

" What type of bird was it?" Her mother asked again.

" Ummm, a snowy owl, I think." She replied as her mother let out a gasp that was as shrill as the air coming out of a balloon.

" What?" Story asked, clearly confused by her mothers reaction. " What's so special about a snowy owl?".

" Oh. Nothing. I just wanted to gasp like that." Her mother smirked and her as Story rolled her eyes. Why did her mom have to be so dramatic sometimes?

" Here, come with me, there's something I should have told you a long time ago."
