The club was packed, pulsing with energy as people lost themselves in the music, the air thick with the scent of alcohol and sweat. In the VIP section, a group of five friends lounged together, laughing and watching the crowd. One of them, the club owner, surveyed the scene with a satisfied smirk. But then their gaze landed on someone—a woman in a red dress, striking and mysterious, with eyes as deep and captivating as the ocean.
Camryn’s POV
Before I knew it, the woman approached me, confidence radiating from her. “Hey, I saw you staring. I thought I’d come say hi,” she said, her voice soft and hypnotic, each word drawing me in. “That dress is stunning; I couldn’t look away,” I replied, my voice lowering as I admired her.
Her lips curved into a smile as she wrapped her arms around my neck. “Have you seen yourself? You’re pretty damn irresistible in that suit,” she teased, placing my hands on her waist. I tightened my grip just a bit, pulling her closer, feeling the chemistry crackle between us. “Looks like my bold move to talk to you paid off,” I murmured, a smirk tugging at my lips.
She laughed softly, her face coming so close that her breath brushed against my skin. “Please—you didn’t even approach me! I had to come over here just to get you to say something,” she whispered, inching closer until our lips were almost touching. The noise of the club faded, leaving just the two of us in a bubble.
“What’s your name, gorgeous?” I asked, my gaze fixed on her, drawn in like a magnet. She bit her lip with a coy smile. “Barbara. And you, handsome?” she asked, leaning back slightly to tease me with her gaze.
“Camryn,” I said, barely able to resist the urge to kiss her as I pulled her even closer, my hands sliding over her hips. Just as I brushed my lips against her neck, I heard a shout. “Camryn! Come on!” one of my friends yelled.
I sighed, muttering into her neck, reluctant to let her go. “They can wait,” I murmured, making her laugh at my stubbornness. She pulled away gently, turning to face me with a playful smile. “Go on, back to your friends,” she teased, giving my cheek a quick kiss before walking away, swaying her hips in a way that had me captivated.
I watched her until she disappeared into the crowd, then reluctantly returned to my friends. As I reached them, I flipped them off, earning a round of laughter.
“Cam! You were all over that girl like she was your girlfriend!” Bianca giggled, nearly falling over in the process.
“And you have a…” Malik pointed at my crotch, laughing so hard he could barely finish the sentence. I glanced down, realizing he was right.
Adjusting myself, I shot them a glare. “You guys are the definition of immature.”
Darren, still chuckling, clapped a hand on my shoulder. “If it makes you feel any better, her friends are laughing at her, too.” I looked over and saw her friends teasing her, pointing back at me. Somehow, I’d forgotten anyone else was even here.
They didn’t let me live it down for the rest of the night, their jokes keeping us all laughing until the club finally closed up.
