A/n: Now I know copy is fucking everywhere as a power. So I decided why not do my own little spin on it. Again my version has 90% most likely been done by someone else or has a similarity. This power is everywhere

Codename: Copy

Ability Overview: Y/n has the extraordinary ability to assimilate the abilities and partial memories of others through physical contact. This power assimilation is permanent, allowing for an ever-expanding arsenal of capabilities. The fundamental nature of this power lies in understanding and replicating the unique energy signatures and cognitive patterns of others.

Detailed Abilities:

Power Assimilation: Upon touching a target, Y/n undergoes a rapid genetic and psychic adaptation, acquiring the individual's superpowers and an intuitive understanding of how to use them. This process also grants fragmented memories that are relevant to the power's use, providing context and skill.

Selective Activation: While Y/n can store an unlimited number of powers, they can consciously activate only one at a time. This limitation prevents overwhelming mental strain and energy conflicts between powers.

Passive Power Accumulation: Passive abilities, such as enhanced healing, heightened senses, or increased intellect, are considered 'always on' and do not count towards the limit of active power usage.

Power Applications:

Power Augmentation: Y/n can temporarily enhance any copied power, amplifying its effectiveness for 15 minutes. During this state, powers can reach unprecedented levels, such as increased range, strength, or speed.

Concurrent Power Usage: Y/n has trained to withstand the mental and physical strain of using multiple powers simultaneously. They can safely combine 2 to 3 powers for complex maneuvers and strategies for up to 20 minutes.

Multi-Power Synergy: Beyond the safe limit, Y/n can push to activate up to 5 powers at once. This synergy allows for unique power combinations but comes with significant risk, as it places massive stress on the body.

Overload: The apex of Y/n's ability is "Overload," where they unleash every copied power in a godlike display of ability. This state can only be maintained for 3 minutes before the body begins to break down.

Downsides:

Psychic Overload: Each assimilated power and memory fragment takes up cognitive space. Over time, this can lead to confusion, disorientation, or a loss of self-identity as Y/n's original personality becomes crowded by the personas of those they've copied.

Energy Depletion: Activating and especially augmenting powers drains Y/n's energy reserves. After a period of augmented use, they may require extended rest to recover their strength.

Neurological Strain: Using multiple powers or pushing beyond the Overload's time limit can cause severe neurological damage, ranging from migraines and blackouts to long-term cognitive dysfunction.

Physical Deterioration: Sustained or intense use of multiple powers, particularly during the Overload, can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, or catastrophic cellular breakdown, resulting in comatose states or even death.

Power Incompatibility: Certain powers may not interact well with each other, leading to unpredictable side effects or feedback loops that could cause temporary or permanent loss of abilities.

Memory Fragmentation: The partial memories obtained during power assimilation can sometimes surface unexpectedly, leading to flashbacks or emotional responses that are incongruous with Y/n's actual situation or feelings.

Existential Crisis: The continuous absorption of others' abilities and memories can cause a profound existential crisis, with Y/n questioning their own identity, purpose, and humanity.
