Chapter 2

[silly me, I forgot to mention at the start, but the trio were around the ages of 14-15. Although they were still genin due to them failing the chunin exams. Anyways enjoy chapter 2]

The two boys decided to sit down for a while due to them being quite exhausted since they had been walking for a while. While they were relaxing they decided to make themselves a snack so they would at least have something in their stomachs.

It was awkward since they weren't talking at all while they waited. The blonde kept staring at Sasuke when he wasn't looking, Somehow admiring him.

as he admired, he got startled. "Is something on your mind idiot?" Sasuke glared at Naruto| "w-what? No of course not.." Naruto yelled out as he turned his head so he wouldn't look at Sasuke.

A minute had gone by before one of them decided to speak up. "You really are dumb, instead of being all quiet, we could've been having a conversation Naruto." Sasuke sighed as he handed Naruto a plate of rice balls. In that moment Naruto turned his head over, grabbing the plate with a hint of embarrassment. "Thank you, you really shouldn't have Sasuke." He smiled

"No problem." Sasuke said as he made eye contact with the blonde. A few moments later, Sasuke decided to somewhat start a conversation with the blondie. "Naruto, about the mission. We should be able to arrive at the village before it hits midnight." The uchiha waited for a response

"That's not a bad idea, it's better to arrive somewhat early so we can get the rest we need to get." Naruto said happily. "Well come on then, let's continue our journey dumbass." Sasuke stood up and grabbed his bag waiting for the blonde to hurry up. "Jesus I hate walking, but it's better than anything else, am I right Sasuke?" He chuckled.

"Yeah whatever..let's just go" Sasuke turned his head to look at the path. Naruto had followed the uchiha as they started to walk towards their first destination. The blonde had been blabbing just about anything so it wouldn't be awkward and boring as they were making their way to the village, of course the raven haired boy was annoyed since uzumaki wouldn't shut up. He didn't mind it, it's better than being silent for most of the way over.

"Sasukee!" Cried out the blonde waiting for Sasuke to say something, "Jesus what in the world do you want Naruto." Sasuke glared at Naruto from a distance. "It's so boring!! Can we please have a bit of fun or something?!" The blonde groaned.

"We are literally close to the village, what could we possibly do?!" Yelled the uchiha as he was annoyed

"We can race or something! Come on it will be fun." He ran up to the uchiha as he blabbered the idea out. "So what do you say?!"

A few moments went by as Naruto waited for the Uchiha to reply to his question.

"You know what, why not. I'd love to see your reaction when you lose" Sasuke gave a grin.

"Great!!." the blonde smiled before making eye contact with the uchiha. "Although I'm not sure if I'm going to lose that easily Sasuke" grinned the uzumaki.

Both boys got ready so they could start this little race of theirs, it took a moment or two so they could be ready before they started.

"okay, let's see who will win." the uchiha grinned.

"One."

"Two"

"Three!!"

After the two of them counted up to three, Both boys started running towards the supposed finish line which was right outside the village. Sasuke and Naruto were basically tied, but Sasuke sprinted a little faster than expected. Although, Naruto did not hesitate to go faster, he was determined to beat Sasuke in this race, there was nothing special about the race. They were both determined to win, even if it was stupid in the process.
