CHAPTER 3

[Chapter 3]                                                                                                                                                                        New Friend?

Jimin looked around at his surroundings . Shining bright lanterns illuminating the dark night road, leaf from the trees present dancing under the beautiful shining moon and twinkling stars, and noble children running around. Who would've known that the kingdom of daegu would be a beauty despite it being known as a horrible kingdom because of their reigning king.

As Jimin was taking a stroll, admiring the scenery he spots something that caught all of his attention to. It was a stage that is surrounded by noble women. On the stage was a man reading a novel so passionately that you could think he has experienced it first handedly. He only took interest of it because of the novel being read but he got absorbed from it and decided to sit with all the noble ladies. He got some weird looks of some whilst some did not even acknowledged him, too captivated of the novel being read by the passionate male in front.

Moments passed by and Jimin did not noticed that it has become late. He has already been consumed.

Whilst Jimin was having the time of his life, almost forgetting about his problem we could not say the same on the other side of the kingdom of daegu.....

Things being thrown, shouting, people crying and pained screams were all heard inside Sajeongjeon hall.

"HOW COULD YOU LOSE HIM?!" The king's loud voice boomed inside the four wall office. Things like important documents, expensive vases that were either peace offerings or gifts from different nations are now on the floor. Palace guards who were involved in taking care of Jimin now also on the floor with the scattered documents and broken vases, crying in pain from the torture.

Whilst inside was chaos, outside was guarded by palace soldiers, trying to keep people away from inside. They were in a good distance where the screams of pain and shouting were not audible enough to be heard. It was quite peaceful but the peace was ruined with  a man and a woman walking towards one of the guards. They tried to walk past him but the guards stopped them stating that they cannot pass through from the kings orders. The man and woman got furious. The man was about to protest when a voice stopped him "Right State Councilor, Choi Byung-Ho what brings you to my humble palace late at night?" The figure finally showed itself from the shadow, revealing the young king. The young king had a grin on his face but it wasn't a welcoming grin, it was more like an annoyed grin plastered on his flawless face. "My king, me and my daughter. Choi Areum are here to discuss some matters to you your majesty" The man bowed with his daughter. That was when he finally saw the girl with her jeogori over her head. When the young woman looked up, her name did not lie, she is indeed a beauty but Yoongi wasn't swayed by the father and daughter duo. As much as how Choi Areum looks so sweet and innocent, she is just like her father, evil and manipulative. If Yoongi was not raised to not trust people too easily his head would be cut from his body and would be on the right state councilor's hand by now.

Yoongi raised a brow "Right state councilor... Are you a palace official of Daegu?" "Yes" The councilor simply answered the kings question. "Then you should've know by now that your King does not like being visited when the sun sets, do you know or do not? If you do not then you might have dementia already it might be time for you to step down as the right state councilor and give the younger generation a chance" The King said. Choi Byung Ho was shaking from embarrassment and anger " I apologize your majesty but it is a very important discussion" The councilor bowed once again "Is it regarding the court? The people of daegu? Is there a war coming?" "No your majesty" "It is not important then, you are dismissed" The king said walking past by the councilor and his daughter followed by his eunuch. The father and daughter duo bowed until the king's silhouette was no more seen. Choi Byung Ho was seeing fire, feeling embarrassed while his daughter Choi Areum was angry and in verge if tears, she really wants to be married to the king. She wants fame, power and a handsome husband.
