At the Hospital

Everyone visits Eunji, except for Taehyung, who remains in his car. Woo Sik calls him, but Taehyung refuses to come.

The next day, Eunji regains consciousness.

Inside the hospital room, her friends gather around her.

Ji Woo: "Eunji, are you okay?"

Soo Young: "What happened to you?"

Woo Sik: "Are you alright?"

Eunji's eyes are red and swollen, partly from the surgery and partly from crying.

Eunji: "I'm fine. It was just an accident—"

Before she can finish, Mrs. Park steps forward.

Mrs. Park: "How did the accident happen?"

Eunji's face turns dull at the question.

Eunji: "Nothing... Nothing happened. It was raining, and I didn't see the car. That's all. You all can go now."

Mrs. Park: "But—"

Eunji: "I need to rest."

Outside the Room

Ji Woo and the others stand together, concern showing on their faces.

Ji Woo: "I think we should call Taehyung. He should visit her too."

Woo Sik: "I already did. He won't come."

Eunji's POV

Why does this always happen to me?

She sighs, frustration bubbling inside her—until a sudden realization hits her.

Wait... I told him...

My body tenses as I recall what I confessed to Taehyung. Without thinking, I move in frustration, but pain shoots through her injured shoulder.

Just then, I sense a presence. I look toward the door.

Taehyung.

POV ends.

Seeing Eunji in pain, he finally steps inside.

She immediately goes quiet as he walks over and sits beside her.

Taehyung: "Are you okay?"

Eunji: "Yeah."

Silence lingers between them, thick and heavy. Then, Taehyung finally speaks.

Taehyung: "I'm sorry."

Eunji: "For?"

Taehyung: "Your ex."

Eunji looks away.

Eunji: "Taehyung, forget about it. Forget what I told you. And don't tell anyone. I wasn't in my right mind when I said those things. Just—"

Taehyung: "You can tell me. I'm here for you."

Eunji: "Just forget it. Please."

One Month Later

Eunji is finally discharged.

During the entire month, Taehyung visited the hospital every day—but he never interred her room. Instead, he watched from a distance.

Even now, he doesn't understand why it affects him so much.

At Home

Eunji rests at home, but she soon announces that she will return to college the following week.

"I'm fine now. I'm a senior—I can't afford to miss more classes."

Though her shoulder still aches, she acts like nothing is wrong.

She is still distant. Still cold.

But something about her seems... different.  she feels light like something that weighed on her passed.

At the College Gate

Her father drops her off at the entrance.

Eunji grips the strap of her bag tightly, but the weight strains her injured shoulder. She flinches slightly.

Before she can react, someone takes her bag from her.

"I'll be your bag holder for now."

Startled, she turns around—only to see Taehyung standing there.

Eunji: "You don't have to do this."

Taehyung: "But I will."

Without waiting for her response, he casually slings her bag over his shoulder and walks ahead.

Eunji stands there, confused.

What's with him?

She sighs and follows after him.
