Strange Girl

You're such a strange girl

I sat at a bar lamenting over life, contemplating my decisions and how I got to this point; As I looked at my glass, It half empty, the lights making it shine and sparkle like a lake in the morning, in its reflection I see a hopeless man, a man who has yet to find his purpose like he was reliving a dream that he could barely remember, it was so meaningful, so perfect, but so fragile. I gazed into it until I broke free from the curse of regret. 

I think you come from another world

My head felt dizzy but free from my problems as the lights and music kept me in touch with a sliver of reality, one of which I had yet to escape and accept. 

I really don't understand a word

I saw a charming and attractive face through the crowd of people drunkenly dancing, as the lights kept flashing and the music kept blaring. 

I'd like to shake you around and around

She looked at me and smiled, at that moment all I thought was that it was profoundly beautiful, her black hair Cascading down her back and her creamy sun-kissed skin so tantalizing, her dark eyes danced with a purple sheen from the lights, as I felt something I never had before. 

I'd like to turn you all upside down

I pushed through the crowd wanting nothing but to have that feeling again and see her face, but the crowd blocked me; As just as I was about to lose hope, I felt a hand grab me, I looked and saw her, as graceful as I could've imagined, as a small smile graced both of our lips. 

The way you look like you do

She asked to dance with me and I accepted without a second thought, I felt I finally found that hidden piece that could finish the puzzle. 

I want to be with you

As I looked back up from looking at our entwined hands with our fingers locking, we smiled at each other, feeling content in this little moment of ours. 

I think I'm falling

The pure ecstasy of the moment, it felt as if it was just us and this would last forever; As I finally felt alive and free in that moment in time, we danced and danced the night away in this little dream of ours. 

I think I'm falling in

But in the midst of that happiness, I knew it would have to end, as my vision blurred and her smile faded, it then disappeared as I only saw black, an abyss of darkness, as the sound of a door slamming shut ripped me away.  

I think I'm falling in love with you

I heard a voice as I groggily got out of my bed, realizing today was the day I would be meeting someone for my joint apartment. 

You're such a strange girl

I got up out of my room as I heard a female voice say "I'm here for the joint apa--" We looked at each other without any words, but the feeling was the same. 

I want to be with you

The feeling of longing and love... As long as we had each other, this dream could last forever.
