As the days turned into weeks, the newfound understanding between Prince Alexander and Lucas continued to evolve. They shared moments of camaraderie, inside jokes, and the kind of easygoing banter that comes with genuine friendship.

One sunny afternoon, Lucas and the prince found themselves in a rather peculiar situation. They were traveling in Tyler's car to attend a royal event, and an unusual topic of conversation had sprung up.

Prince Alexander, who had always been known for his impeccable charm, couldn't help but address a rather sensitive topic. "Lucas," he said with a mischievous grin, "you know, you don't even know how to flirt.

"Lucas, never one to back down from a challenge, retorted, "Says the person who pays for cuddles."

The car fell silent for a moment as the tension built. Tyler, who was driving, could feel the brewing tension in the back seat. Sophie, sitting next to him, exchanged a knowing glance with Tyler, and they both braced themselves for the impending argument.

Alexander leaned back in his seat, his eyes locked on Lucas, waiting for a comeback. "My family isn't even paying for that. It's coming out of my allowance," he replied with a hint of exasperation.

Lucas, unfazed, shot back, "Maybe you wouldn't have to pay so much if we were dating."

The moment those words left his mouth, the car fell into stunned silence, except for the simultaneous exclamations of shock from Sophie and Tyler. "What the hell just happened?" they asked in unison.

The prince and Lucas exchanged an awkward glance, each of them realizing that this heated argument had taken an unexpected turn. The tension had shifted from a debate to something much more personal, and it hung heavily in the air.

Alexander, still processing the unexpected proposition, found himself at a loss for words. Lucas, on the other hand, was nervously running a hand through his hair, regretting the impulsive comment that had escaped him.

Sophie leaned in, breaking the silence. "You two... Did you just agree to date each other? "

Lucas, sheepish but determined, turned to the prince and asked, "Do you want to date?"

Alexander's surprise slowly melted into a thoughtful expression. He considered the possibility and, for the first time in years, allowed himself to imagine a future with Lucas. With a soft smile, he replied, "Sure, why not?"

The car continued its journey, now enveloped in a palpable mixture of anticipation and uncertainty. The unexpected agreement that had emerged from a heated argument had changed the course of their relationship in an instant, and they were both about to embark on a new and uncharted chapter in their lives.

As the royal event approached, the prince and Lucas couldn't help but steal glances at each other, their hearts filled with a strange mixture of excitement, anxiety, and a hint of hope for the possibilities that lay ahead.
