2. This man

It all made sense, my dad's debt had brought this to me, I might as well just kill myself at this rate, who would take care of my poor mom?

Why did it have to be me? Should I agree? Am I going to give up on my life for this?

I wanted to cry, but I didn't want my mother to worry about me.
I stared at this man, he indeed was quite handsome, and he had magnificent genes, but I shouldn't give up on my life because of this.
I turned to him and asked:

-" Is it because of my dad's debts? "

My mom looked at me, then turned her head to Sebastian.

I could sense she was about to cry.

She then looked at me but quickly looked down.

She was ashamed to look me in the eyes, my mother was ashamed to look me in the eyes.

-" Well honey, it is related to your dad, your right."

She then sighed and finished:

-" Your dad sold you off to Mr. Sebastian and he ran away with the money"

I looked at Mom, I wondered why she was laughing and smiling when I first entered, I didn't dare to ask.

Before I had the chance to say anything, Sebastian spoke before me.

-" Alexandra, your dear mother asked if she could repay me another way, and I agreed, she'd have to work for me for the rest of her life, and be my slave, do anything I say, as long as I take care of you."

I was devastated, my mother would have to face the consequences of my father's acts.

I couldn't just stay there and agree.

I looked at my mom, she was smiling, It was a fake smile, she was about to sacrifice herself for me, she's only in her thirties, she didn't have the chance to live the life she deserved.

I looked at both of them, Mom and Sebastian, they were standing in front of me.

  The decision I was about to take could ruin my life, but I had to do it.

-" I agree, I will marry you, and be the perfect wife for you..."

I looked at them and then went back to what I was saying.

-" ... But on one condition, please"

-" Go ahead, what is it? "

-" I don't care if you cheat on me if you have an affair, if you don't care about me, but please just give my mother a monthly amount of money so that she take care of herself."

He looked at me, then took out a pen from his pocket, and a piece of paper, walked straight to the table, wrote something on the piece of paper, and then gave it to Mom.

-" 50.000 dollars a month!? This is too much I can't accept it" my mother exclaimed.

-" Mom just accept it please, and don't worry about me I will be fine, I'm sure Sebastian will take good care of me."

I started crying, I was happy my mom would finally live the life she truly deserved.

My mom came to me and hugged me, she started thanking me, crying and sobbing.

-" My baby, my sweet daughter.."

She then walked to her room and a few moments later, she came back with a magnificent silver necklace with an emerald raindrop, it was beautiful.

She gave it to me and told me to take good care of it.
