Jimin was sitting in the council room alongside his father, the head alpha of the Silver Moon pack, his alpha brother Taehyung, and omega brother Jin. This council meeting was called suddenly and everyone knew why. It was their last attempt to avoid a war that would destroy the whole pack without a doubt because they didn’t stand a chance with their opponents, the Black Alders. The well-known ruthless clan had brought destruction to almost all the territories around Jimin’s pack territory. Every clan that denied their demands was mercilessly brought to an end. The only way out for Jimin’s pack to avoid the same tragic fate was negotiating mating between the two packs.

Jimin’s father, the head alpha, had no choice but to agree to give one of his children as a potential mate for the warlord Jeon’s alpha son Jungkook. Warlord Jeon was the head of the Black Alders. Just like their name, they represented the pack name with their jet-black hair, dark-shaded skin, and black eyes. Black Alders were the strongest wolves and they were born warriors. Until they came down from their territory, the Smoky Mountains, and raided the territory where Jimin lived, everything was peaceful. Jimin’s clan lived in peace with all the clans around them. They did try to get together and fight back but to no avail. The long-lasting war only made them grow weaker and weaker to the point where Jimin’s father had to bargain his children’s hands with the enemy.

Jimin was the youngest son of the head alpha. He was singled out as an omega at birth but he had yet to present. So, at the age of 17, Jimin was still considered a pup, a late bloomer. Jimin’s pack, the Silver Moon, were known for their unique and breathtakingly beautiful features. They all had iconic silver hair like the rays of moon. Their skin was so pale and shiny like white pearls. They also had enchanting blue eyes. Silver Moons had never mated outside their pack for generations, keeping their precious genes pure, but the time had come for that to change. It was clear that Jin would be the one to mate with the alpha son Jungkook because Taehyung was an alpha and Jimin was a late bloomer. Jimin was consoling Jin who was weeping the whole time before coming here. It took him a lot of effort to accept his fate and make that sacrifice to save his clan. In the end he did. Jimin took a glance at Jin, sitting next to his father, keeping his fluffy eyes down. His heart ached for his brother. The warlord demanded all three children of the head alpha to be present in the council. He wanted them to witness the arrangements and be a part of it as the future rulers of Silver Moon under the command of Black Alders. That’s why Jimin and Taehyung were here.

Jimin, who was sitting in chronological order on his family’s side of the table, was right opposite Jungkook from across the table. He was terrified and overwhelmed by the build of warlord’s alpha son. Jimin noticed that Jungkook was even taller than his own father; his ragged clothes gave out his toned chest with hard muscles. And Jimin was doing the math of the size of his biceps, probably larger than Jimin’s thighs. How was it possible for someone to be built like that? It looked like he could break Jimin in half with just one strike. Jimin genuinely felt concerned for Jin who had to mate and share a life with this beast. Deep in thought, Jimin didn’t notice that the alpha was also looking at him. Jimin was startled by the alpha’s intense gaze but he didn’t want to look like a coward in front of the enemy and he was also in the safe zone as a late bloomer, so Jimin kept his head straight and gave the alpha a challenging glare. The alpha looked a bit surprised and amused at the same time by Jimin’s reaction. Little did Jimin know about the consequences of his actions. Jimin and Jungkook were both brought back to reality with the voice of his father.

"So, my lord Jungkook, have you made your choice? Who do you want to mate with? Obviously it is my oldest son, Jin, because Taehyung is an alpha and Jimin is a late bloomer, so he is still just a pup......."

"I have indeed chosen, my lord". Jimin's father was cut off in the middle by Jungkook's mocking voice. " But it's not him. Jungkook said, pointing at Jin, then he looked Jimin in the eyes."I choose your youngest son to marry and mate."
