~Ellie's POV~

After breakfast I decided to visit my bestfriend, Kelsea because I hadn't seen her in a few days. She had just gotten engaged and I knew she was busy with wedding plans and would want my help.

I arrived at the small house that she and her fiancé had just moved into and knocked on the front door. Taylor opened it. "Hi Ellie" he said as we greeted each other with a hug. "Hey Taylor, where's your bride to be?" "She's in the kitchen." He replied.

Taylor closed the door behind me and we both went into the kitchen. "Ellie! It's so good to see you, I missed you so much!" Kelsea said while giving me a big hug. "Hey Kels! How've you been? How are the wedding plans going?"

"I'm good and the wedding plans are going great! I need your help of course. I'm so excited!!" She squealed. "Babe I'm going out. I'll be back in about an hour." Taylor said, giving Kelsea a kiss on the cheek. They were so cute, Taylor was a good guy and I was genuinely happy for them.

"Want some coffee? I know you can't live without coffee." She teased. "Coffee would be great." A huge grin formed on her face.
"So how did it go?" She asked. "How did what go?" I replied, taking a homemade cookie from the plate she was offering.

"The big day yesterday!! Your writing session with none other than Keith Urban!!!" She said excitedly. "Is he as sweet as he seems? Did he smell good? I've heard that he always smells good"

Kelsea went on and on. She was a huge fan of Keith and she freaked out even worse than me when I found out I would be writing with him. "I was late, which was a bad first impression but he didn't seem to mind. It went really well and we wrote a great song." I said.

She gave me a disappointed look. "That's it?" "Yeah that's it. What were you expecting? Did you think we would fall in love and get married?" I joked. Kelsea had always had a big imagination.

"I don't know, maybe? She said. "Don't you think he's cute?" "Of course I think he's cute. He's gorgeous and funny and sweet and he's from Australia..." I replied. "So what's the problem?"

"The problem is that he's Keith Urban and I highly doubt that he would be even remotely interested in me."
Kelsea shook her head. "Are you crazy?! He would be the luckiest guy on the planet if he had you. You're smart, beautiful and funny. Not to mention talented."

"I actually saw him again this morning.." I said, changing the subject. I hated being the center of attention. "Oh yeah?" She waited for me to go on. "I was starving so I drove around town and ended up going to this tiny little random diner. It turns out that he goes there almost everyday for breakfast."

"That's amazing! Did you talk to him?" "Yeah I did, he's recording the song on Tuesday. Actually he asked if I would sing on it with him."

Kelsea's smile immediately faded. She knew I didn't sing anymore and she was one of the few people who knew why. "Oh. You said no, didn't you?" I nodded. "I was actually really rude to him about it."

"El? Why did you do that? It's not his fault, he doesn't know what happened" I could hear the concern in her voice. "I know. I apologised and we're good. He asked me to come to the recording session anyway."

"Really? Howcome?" She asked. "To make sure he doesn't ruin the song or something. He wants my input." My bestfriend giggled and smiled. "What?" I asked. "Nothing, it sounds to me like he just wants an excuse to see you again."

"You're crazy! He just wants me there because I co-wrote the song." "Really? Have any other artists that you've written for asked you to sit in on the recording session or to sing with them?" "No."

She had a point but I pushed the idea out of my mind. I didn't want to believe that there was a chance that he did like me. It just seemed crazy and I was scared that if I got my hopes up, I would be left disappointed.

"So are you gonna go?" Kelsea asked. "I don't know yet. I'm still deciding." "Well I think you should go. It'll be fun and you'll get to see him again."

"Yeah I don't know Kels. I haven't been in a recording studio in years." "I know but I seriously think you should go. It'll be good for you." She suggested. I thought for a moment.

"Okay fine, I'll go." I agreed just so that we could stop talking about it."Yay! I'm so happy for you!" She said while giving me a big hug. "I don't know why you're so excited about this, it's not a date or anything." "Yeah I know, but my bestfriend knows Keith Urban! That's pretty amazing!"

"I don't know him. I've only met him twice." I replied. "Taylor and I are throwing a house party next Saturday, you should invite him." "Kels, I barely know the man. I can't just invite him to a party." I pointed out. "Why not? Just tell him I'm a really huge fan and that I'd love to meet him. You wouldn't be lying. It could be your wedding present to me." I rolled my eyes. "Okay fine, I'll ask him but I can't promise he'll say yes."

"Yay!! Thank you so much bestie!" She squealed, throwing her arms around me and giving me a big hug. "I have to go now, I'll talk to you later." I said getting ready to leave.

"Okay El, call me if you need anything and let me know how the recording session goes okay?" Kelsea said, walking me to the door. "I will, tell Taylor I say goodbye."

I gave her a hug goodbye and walked back to my car. Even though I had promised my bestfriend I would, I still wasn't sure if I would show up on Tuesday or not. Luckily I had a whole weekend to decide.
