Ok... Let's just get this out of the way... This is not a good relationship. Winter is... Borderline abusive towards Moon. He yells at her, lashes out at her, I just... Can't see this relationship happening. I will admit they had some good romance moments in book 7 (*cough cough* looking at you rainwing healing hut *cough cough*) but after book 7 and Winter's character development, he just... Goes back to the way he was (I mean besides the racism ig) Like, this happened to both Winter and Tsunami. They had some amazing character development in their books, and then they just... Go back to normal. Like, if you're gonna write character development, then keep the character development. Anyway what was I talking about? Oh right Winterwatcher. Yeah this is not what a good relationship should look like. Trust is one of the major ideas (? I can't think of the word) in WOF and ultimately, Moon doesn't trust Winter. In the end of book 10 Moon chooses not to tell Winter about Darkstalker. It's because even though they are really good friends, she still doesn't truly trust him.
