NO ONE POV
David waved to Ddot as he left his house, not surpised to see his dad standing behind him as David shut the front door.
"Was that your little friend?" Michale grumbled. David nodded. "Why was he here? you remember what i said about that, don't you?" He spoke with a flat tone.
He nodded and mumbled a meaningless sorry.
"Sorry," Finney quickly said, attempting to sound meaningful as he realized his dad wouldn't be too happy from his, what Michael would call a, horrible apology.
It didn't work as planned. On Saturday, Michael headed off to work while Dd and Notti were left at home.
"E, you hungry?" David asked, peaking his head through her door. "A bit," Ethan replied, putting down his phone
"Alright, I'll make something," David replied, walking into the kitchen and deciding what he should make.
As David left Ethan's room, he got an idea. He picked up his phone and headed out his door.
"David !" He exclaimed, walking into the kitchen. David looked over at him. "Can i go for a walk, I'll be back in like ten minutes I promise," ethan pleaded."Sure," David shrugged. Ethan smiled and walked out the front door, being met with Darrian , who had his hand raised and ready to knock on the door.
"Uh? What're you doing here?" ethan asked, frowning. " david called," darrian said. Ethan slowly nodded and walked outside.
"are you hungry?" David quickly asked.
"No, already ate," Ddot nodded once. "Okay. Come with me, i have something to show you," David said, tugging Darrian off the chair and towards his room."I drew you," He said proudly and handed him a piece of paper. Darrian laughed as he looked down at the drawing. It was just a stick figure with hair and a belt.
"So artistical, Dd. I'm amazed," Ddot smiled. "I know right," David said, still proud. It was his best work.
David went from seeing Darrian as a dumb kid who was failing half his classes, to his friend, then possibly best friend, and now, as crazy as it sounds to him, he might possibly like him. Not just as a friend. But how would he ever tell Darrian such a thing like that? As much as he wanted to, David knew that his socially awkward self would never be able to bring himself to admitting that.
