Muddled clouds of thought sway and darken turning gray then black then blue

Blue tears, blue rain, drips, drops, hitting air, slamming, misting away before it can impact

Change, it is gone, never being seen

But being felt... being pushed and pulled by the wind, the breeze

A hurricane invisible

A hurricane that pushed and pulled, and pushed and pulled

A storm unrelenting, deafening

But the eyes, the ears, the senses steer away, ignoring shattered windows, broken branches, torn, everything is ripped to shreds

But the eyes and ears are steered away, staring at tvs and cellphones and games and it drones on and on and on and on

The eyes the ears— my eyes, my ears, look away and instead a smile bears its teeth pretending to be anything but grief

Grief that refuses to take up space because it is mine and mine alone and mine alone and mine alone

Mine alone to bear, to hide, to shadow

A shadow that is terrified to leave its perch, its web, its home on darkness' edge poking out, but knows that light will never see,

Never see beyond the tvs, the cellphones, the games, that drone on and on and on

Muddled clouds of thought, gray black and blue
