My eyes lose focus and i anticipate the impending panic.

The sky blackens and expands, showing the imperfections existing even in nature. The wind picks up speed, showing off its ability to ruthlessly annihilate a once stable landscape.

Ripples in the dirt, tremors rocking my world and the ground swallows me whole.

It grinds me between its teeth. Shredding through my paper-thin resolve, effortlessly wearing away at the last of my individuality.

And chuckling quietly to itself, the world mocks me, wonders why it ever expected more. Wonders why I've never put up the fight to be who I know I am destined to be.

God rolls me over his tongue, thoughtfully tasting my surrender. He gives up on me, and spits me out; leaving me wondering if I was once a part of something more, or if I am just an extension of the ground itself.
