It's been a while since the two started clashing their blades against one another.

Multiple grunts and groans came out from them, determined to make tear the other's sword out of their hand.

Due to anger, Y/N came charging at him first, blade glinting dangerously as she attempted to thrust it at him. Unfortunately for her, the stranger was fast enough to dodge her attack.

With his own weapon in hand, he raised it above his head with one arm and brought it down to where the vampire was standing.

Narrowing her eyes, Y/N was also fast enough to dodge his weapon and kick him in the stomach.

The stranger grunts and flew a few meters away before raising his weapon once more, running towards her with a determined look.
He jumps and swings his weapon around, his body following.

He was swift and fast but he's no match for a vampire like Y/N. Before his blade could reach her, she jumps over it and kicks him by his shoulder and face a few times before landing few meters behind him and wasted no time into swinging her sword towards him.

The stranger jumps a distance away from her and threw his sword at her, with flames following the movement of the sword. This caused Y/N to gasp and halt herself, dodging the incoming blade flying her way. The blade pierced itself on the ground, the flame dispersing as it did so. Y/N was truly caught off guard. Before she could even truly process what she just saw, she yelps and groans when the stranger's feet came in a powerful contact with her shoulders and chest, sending her flying distances away from him.

Her breath was almost knocked out of her when her back and head came in contact with the rough and hard surface of the rocky base of the cliff.

Before she could even process the pain, her eyes caught sight of the same sword who's blade is coated in fire coming her way.

Luckily, she got away before the stranger could even slice her in half and burn her. But that doesn't mean the hem of her cape survived though. Much to her displeasure, the end of her cape glow a glint of fiery red before going out as it landed on the cold ground.

" Damn you..", she hissed, unclipping her cape before throwing it away from the area.

She jumped back again when the red-headed stranger attempted to strike her with his fiery sword, fearing that he might burn her.

When she stopped a meter away from him, she decided to talk him out.

" They're the ones who killed one of these innocent creatures and attempted to hurt more than necessary. Why are you trying to perish me instead of them?!"

The stranger's eyes hardened upon hearing her voice. He held his large sword effortlessly and responded with a scoff.

" Innocent? These hillichurls are the same as those treasure hoarders but worse. They attack and kill innocent travelers upon seeing one. "

Y/N's mind came spinning when his words has reached her ears.

" Hilichurls?", she uttered.

" Don't tell me you are even unaware of what those monsters are. They are called Hilichurls. They're the ones responsible for the injuries and deaths of various travelers.", his tone held of disbelief.

" Excuse me? They've welcomed me into their group with such warm efforts and treated me as if I was one of their own! ", she barked.

" It's either you're naive or an idiot. They were trying to fool you, manipulate you before-"

He was interrupted with his own weapon meeting hers, small sparks erupting from the connection of their blade as her eyes glared at him in anger.

" Enough!"
