Disha stared at the paper in front of her blankly, she couldn't believe this was really happening to her.

The man she respected and trusted, was actually a phony. Was everything a lie? She wondered.

She thought she was finally going to be free from the bondage of this household and get her happily ever after, not knowing she could have stepped into her worst nightmare.

She looked up at her father her mouth still open in disbelief, but her father only nodded his head confirming that everything written on this paper was in fact true.

She placed the paper in her hands down on the table, her eyes never leaving her father's own.

She couldn't help but wonder what exactly the old man was playing at this time. Something was off here and she wasn't stupid not to notice it.

" What this father? Why are you doing this? And most importantly why now? " she asked all the questions flowing in her mind.

" What do you mean dear? " her father shouted at her.

" You should be happy that the wedding did not go through in the first place, so why all this questions? " he asked her.

" Because I know you father, I know something is up. " she said slamming her hands on the table, trying her best not to show the rage boiling inside of her.

All her life she never really stood up to her dad or anyone. She was always tagged that naive girl.

But right now the anger she felt within her was massive, she was tricked into a marriage even after her father knew how much of a bad choice her husband to be was.

She was angry her own father could do this to her. What was she to him exactly? A collateral that he could use and exchange for anything? She could help but ask herself as angry tears fall off her eyes.

She chuckled bitterly, shaking her head before looking at her father once again.

" So you are telling me dear father, that you suddenly just found out that Atharva is involve in illegal things? " she asked her father, bitterness clouding her voice.

" Disha! " her father yelled excepting her to cower away like she usually does, but she only stood still her glare marching his.

Honestly she was tired, she wanted to go to the top room of this mansion and shout her lungs out.

Fuck everyone she screamed inside her mind as her eyes became a little more pale scaring her father.

Mr Baljuwan looked at his daughter's eyes and shifted on his spot uncomfortably, he as never seen her like this before.

Taking back his stance he cleared his throat and glared back at her.

" Disha I don't know what exactly is going on in that mind of yours, but I will not let you bring shame to this family. " he said.

" I will find another better suitor for you, you can forget about Atharva. " he said waving his hand indicating that the conversation as ended.

She chuckled bitterly clapping her hands before glaring holes into her fathers head.

She was about to say something when the door to her father office opened.

Turning around she saw the devil his self entering, the aura screaming power and arrogance.

" Mr Ethan, welcome. " why father stood up to meet the devil with a huge smile on his lips.

" You came quite early. " he continued raising his hand, offering him a handshake.

The devil just looked at my father hands for a while before walking past him, leaving his hands hanging on the air.

" Have you discussed everything with her already? " he asked taking his seat beside me.

My father quickly regained his posture and chuckled before returning back to his seat.

" Well not yet Mr Ethan, am still working on it. " my father said, his voice sounding so polite. If there's anything in this world  my father can never do it's to be polite and gentle.

Pushing that aside, she looked at both of them curious as to what exactly was going on here.

She stood still looking that both of the men in the room alternatively. What exactly was going on here she thought.

" What's this meeting about. " She asked looking at her father, deciding to ignore the presence of the other man in the room.

Which did not quit stay well with Ethan, as he growl out loud, drawing the attention of both father and daughter to him.

" I don't have time for this, I clearly instructed you to tell things, before I made my way here. " Ethan demand glaring dagger that Mr Baljuwan.

The old man gulped looking inside the 6 foot tall guy in front of him.

" Mr Ethan " he called out laughing nervously, before approaching him with conscious steps.

" I was just about to discuss things with her, we just go into a heated argument that's all. Please forgive me that, am wuite aware there's no much time. "  Mr Baljuwan said apologizing.

Disha looked at her father, her eyes widen she couldn't believe that a whole Mr Baljuwan could really put down his pride and stick down his nose to apologise.

Like how possible is that? She thought.

Who is this man anyway? And why was her dad so scared of him? Was he owning this Mr Ethan something? All those questions flooded her mind as she stared at the man in front of him, wondering if he had a spare head she couldn't see that was making him look scary or something.

" Make it quick then. " Ethan answered, before marching to the seat placed in front of creamed colored desk in the center of the room.

Taking his seat, his eyes drifted back to Disha, accessing her from up to bottom, making her feel self conscious, as she looked at him with disgust.

This man as no shame at all? She thought, as she couldn't believe you would check her out in front her dad, but again, she doesn't really know him that much, so what exactly was she excepting.

" Disha my dear, please meet your future husband, Mr Ethan. " Her father said, giving her the pleading eyes to just cooperate with him.
