Walking through the paddock for media day with Weenie's lead held tightly in her hands, Chiara was slightly stressed out. Her song had dropped the week before and, to anyone else, it probably wasn't incredibly obvious who it was about, but to him? She knew it most likely was.

So, when she saw him on her way to Red Bull's hospitality and he called her name, she took a deep breath before turning to face him and forcing a smile onto her face. "Hi, Oscar."

He smiled at her, his looking a lot less forced than hers was. "Hey, I heard your song," he told her, making her face drop slightly. "I liked it."

"Oh. Yeah. Thanks." She gave him another tight smile before turning to walk away.

Before she had the chance, Oscar lightly held her wrist, forcing her to stop. "Can we talk? Privately?" He asked, looking around at all the people surrounding them who probably didn't even care about their conversation, but both of them were much too paranoid to believe that.

Nodding, Chiara led him to a space behind Red Bull's hospitality. "What did you want to talk about?" She asked, even though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I just— I miss you, Chiara," he spoke honestly. His gaze fell down to the dog by her legs. "I don't like how that night ruined our friendship."

She shook her head. "I don't like it either but... it's just the way things happened, I guess," she shrugged.

Oscar sighed, "It didn't have to happen that way. You didn't have to stop talking to me, and you didn't have to block me on everything you could until the start of last season."

"What else was I supposed to do?" Chiara whisper-yelled, stress evident in her tone. "You left without a word and I texted you for days after and didn't get a single response. What was I supposed to think? That you just happened to not have your phone for a whole fucking week after—?"

Cutting her off, Oscar groaned, taking a step back and leaning against the wall behind him. "Can we at least just be civil? I don't think I've had a single conversation with you since then that hasn't turned into an argument and I'm tired of it," he looked into her eyes. "I can't fight with you anymore. If not for me, for Logan, because I know he's sick of it too."

At the mention of her best friend, Chiara bit the inside of her cheek. "Fine."

With that, she walked away with Weenie following, leaving Oscar to watch her leave and let out the breath he didn't even know he was holding.
