*Phil's P.O.V*

We were walking for a long time just in silence. I mean, I wanted to know about her but she remembered nothing. Nothing. Imagine that. Just waking up in a random place not remembering anything. You would freak out. And she did. But I did too. That was only because I didn't know exactly why Father put me here. Why did he? Why didn't he love his own son? Surely he would save him from getting killed. Or would he? Like he was friendly but he always......

"Phil?" Sophie asked.
"Oh. Um, yeah?"
"Are you ok? You just stopped dead in your tracks." She said, sounding rather worried.
"Oh, yeah. Um, where are we?" I replied.
"Where do you think, Phil." She sarcastically replied.
"A forest." I shot back.
"Actually, we are." She said, pointing to a actual forest around 200 meters away. "Nice one."
"Very funny. " I said, annoyed.
"Let's just go. I'm too... I don't know. Just something's telling me that I can't go on."

Tiredness, I thought. We had been walking for hours now. About 15 miles. I was tired too. But. I had one more spark of energy left. And it wasn't going to waste.

"Come on. I'll race you." I challenged.
"You'll what?" Oh. God damn. I forgot.
"I... just made it up. If I get to the forest before you I win. Which means I am awesome. However if you win you are awesome. Get it?" I explained.
"What's awesome?" She asked. Ugh. She was curious.
"Say if I'm awesome I'm better than you."
"Oh, ok then." She set off running almost a second after she said that.
"HEY!! No fair." I shouted while sprinting after her.

She won. And she was happy about it.

"Hahahahaha!!!!!! I win!! I'm awesome!!!" She laughed.

Ok. I had been with her for almost a day and I felt like I knew all about her past life. Most likely she was a lively, playful teenager. Popular. Friendly. Everything I wasn't.

You see I had no friends. I was depressed and suicidal and it was all because.....

"PHIL!!!" She shouted.
"Huh?" I replied, dazed.
"For the second time, you just stopped."

Why am I so awkward?

"Oh. No reason." Ugh. I'm too awkward. "Anyway, we should probably sleep. Or build a camp to sleep in."
"Ok." Good. She knew basics. Well she probably also knew about food, water and hunting too then.

It took us about a hour to build a reliable shelter to last us the night. And by then I was shattered.

"Come on. Let's sleep." I said getting into a makeshift bed made out of leaves and rocks. We had two beds so we could sleep separately.

"Phil." I heard a small voice say.
"Yeah. " I replied gently.
"Can I sleep with you tonight? I mean, I'm just...scared."

Fear. The one feeling she remembered. I sighed slightly.

"Ok." I agreed.

She lay down next to me, snuggling in for warmth. It was only then I had a proper look at her. She was quite slim and petite but still cute. She had night black hair and one green eye and one brown eye. They each stood out. The green striking. The brown chocolate-y. She was...amazing.

"Goodnight, Phil." She whispered.
"Goodnight, Sophie." I whispered back.

The next morning I woke up with her hands around my waist and my hands around her neck. I never wanted to move from that moment. But I had to. This is Just The Beginning of these games.
