A New Friend

Leafy's POV

I was walking around the island, enjoying the scenery as always.

I also upgraded my tent recently.

It's a bigger tent now! Better than that tunnel tent...

It's a cabin tent that can fit 10 people but I'm keeping it to myself. Teehee.

I sleep on an air mattress now too so I don't need to sleep on the floor with my sleeping bag anymore.

Not because I'm scared of my tent flooding when it rains if I get a regular mattress of course.

Yeah.

While we are talking about new things, that feeling I get when I feel like I'm being watched has been a bit more... Disturbing.

I feel like it's getting closer or something.

Speaking of the devil, I can feel that gaze again.

I turned around, nothing.

I continued on my walk and so did the gaze continue watching me.

I could hear the clanking of metal and drilling sounds.

Must be the construction.

After just 2 weeks they're already building the 2nd floor. Just the 3rd floor left to go.

'What should I let them build next?...' I wondered as I walked into the forest towards my favourite tropical river on the island.

"I should hire more people so this finishes quickly...yep." I took out my phone and dialed in a construction companies number.

It didn't take long before I got at least 40 more construction workers on their way to the island.

"Let's see..." I stopped walking and turned back around, going back to the shore where everything was.

I got a view of the hotel they were currently building.

A statue of me.

It would be nice.

I smiled, satisfied with my image of the statue.

"Right..." I muttered to myself, I had originally intended to go to my favourite spot on the island. The waterfall.

I turned to walk towards the direction of the waterfall.

Ding!

I chill went down my spine.

"...?"

I turned around.

"What the f-" I blacked out.

{A few hours later}

I woke up with an aching pain in my head.

What the heck happened?

I was in my tent.

It looks like it's dark out now.

"Oh, you're awake!" I heard a voice say beside me.

I turned my head and saw a cloud that looked similar to Cloudy but had arms and legs.

My eyes widened.

"Who...?" I asked with a shaky voice.

"Oh, right!" They smiled sheepishly.

"My name is Cloudie! Spelled with an 'ie' and not a 'y'!" They said.

"They/Them pronouns by the way!" They added.

"Okay- How did you get on this island and why are you in my tent?" I tried to calm myself down.

"Well..." They dragged off.

"You may or may not have noticed a little feeling of being watched right?" They laughed nervously.

"That was...you?" I said confused.

"Yes...?" They smiled sheepishly.

"And why were you stalking me exactly?" I raised a brow.

"What? It's fun watching you make your own island!" They pouted.

"Also, sorry for uh...knocking you out." They smiled nervously.

"Why-"

"I panicked okay!?" They exclaimed.

"...Understandable." I sighed.

"I'll...forgive you I guess?" I said, still trying to process everything.

"Thank you!! Again, sorry about the stalking thing." They apologized.

"It's fine I guess..." I rubbed my head.

"What now?" They asked.

"Sleep outside." I said.

"Yeah okay, that's fair." They got out of my tent.

"...honk mimimimimi" I fell asleep.
