Chapter 1: I loved you

"Fred! Fred!", Alana called as she ran up the stairs to Fred's room.
But she opened the door to a sight that left her speechless.
Lily and Fred were kissing so intimately.
"Fred?" Alana called again as she tried to hold back her tears. She had been there for a while trying to make sure she wasn't hallucinating.
Lily and Fred turned to look at her in shock. They'd been caught. Fred let go of Lily and rushed forward to Alana to explain.
"Babe, listen to me...." Fred said as he held her shoulders
But Alana wasn't listening. Her eyes were glistening with tears and her body trembled.
" I wanted to tell you, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me, I'm really sorry", Fred begged.
All the while, Lily stood there smiling at the whole scenario.
"Babe? Babe?", Fred called but Alana wasn't hearing anything as her vision blurred and she blacked out.
"Alana! Alana!", Fred called out and shook her shoulders.
Suddenly he attacked Lily,
"Look what you've done, I told you to stay away from me!", Fred shouted.
Lily only twisted her face in anger and clenched her fists.  
Fred picked up Alana's unconscious body and rushed her to the hospital in his car.

'I loved you, Fred. Why? Why'd you do it?'
This Alana thought as she remembered the countless times she suspected and the many clues she had overlooked.
"Doctor! Nurse! My girlfriend is unconscious here please help", Fred called out loudly upon arriving at the hospital.
Alana was rushed to the emergency room and after a series of checkups, the doctor called for Fred.
"How is she doctor?"
"There's nothing much to worry about. She fainted due to shock. But please avoid such incidents in the future it'll affect the health of..."
The doctor was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Come in"
"Sorry ma'am but the patient has regained consciousness"
The doctor and Fredrick left for Alana's room.
"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked
"Tired"
Fredrick received a call and went outside.
" You have to be careful, you're undergoing so much stress it'll harm your baby"
Alana's eyes widened in shock.
"baby? What baby?" Alana asked confused.
"You didn't know?"
"Uhm... doctor could please not tell my boyfriend? I want to break the news to him myself"
"Well, alright" the doctor smiled and left.
Shortly, Fredrick came in after talking to the doctor again.
"What are you doing here?" Alana asked looking out the window.
"Uh...you fell unconscious, so.."
"So you brought me to the hospital, thank you. You can leave now, your girlfriend is waiting" Alana said still not making eye contact with him.
"Alana.. you're the girlfriend here"
"Did I just hear correctly? So you knew? You had that in mind and you still went on to make out with my best friend? My FRIEND Fred!!! I loved you. I gave you everything I could. My body, my time, my love, my heart. But what did you do?"
"Alana I'm sorry"
"Don't...touch me...I don't want to see you here, please leave"
"Babe.."
He wanted to stay and beg but he knew better. The doctor had said not to stress her so he got up and left.
The moment Fredrick left the doors of the ward, Alana broke down in tears. She cried and cried and cried. At least it eased the pain a little.
