The old tree

The sadness quickly envelopes me,
and the darkness is too much to fight.
I lean back against an old tree,
hoping it will destroy the night.
You left me here, my only love.
You left me in a pit of sorrow.
My faith flutters away like a dove,
leaving me like a mourning soul.
Against the tree, where I pray that you will pull me out of this darkened hole.
You still don't come, I've been waiting for days.
Will you ever show up, or will my waiting be in vain?
However I still believe you will come for me
One day while I wait at the old tree
