In the mirage of flies, I found my disguise,
Till your words unveiled my winged guise.
With grace, I soared in the vast sky,
Believing I was a butterfly.

Yet caged, my flight came to nigh,
Told that beauty in flight can't defy.
But I'll bloom beyond this dismay,
For true beauty's in freedom's sway.

In pursuit of freedom, my earnest plea,
But ensnared by your love, I couldn't flee.
Your affection held, yet bound me tight,
Concealing scars under the guise of Told I was a butterfly, adorned with grace,
Yet my wings carried scars, a hidden trace.
Your words adorned me, yet I yearn to be true,
For genuine beauty lies beyond what's new.

In the garden of life, butterflies flew high,
You admired their beauty, let others pass by.
But within your care, my wings found their fray,
Yet, in your eyes, the others held sway.

Set me free from this bittersweet guise,
To soar on my own under limitless skies.
It's better to roam, unbound and free,
Than a mere option in your reality.

I poured my soul to light your day,
Yet, in your eyes, I lost my way.
Even as I soared, striving high,
I couldn't match the butterflies that caught your eye.

Now wingless, I embrace the sky's expanse,
My freedom found in life's wild dance.
No more an option, but a liberated soul,
In my flight, I find a new, empowered role.
