That Day

As the only woman in prison for someone's greed, she was named a poor thief who knows how to deal with the surroundings, as there was no other option but to run without direction.

"Alright, calm yourself down, rookie; you have got this," she said to herself, but words weren't working; her arms were shaking and she was struggling to stand. A girl sat around the corner of the prison cell with no tale to tell.

Eyes of hundreds were curious about her, as that weak figure was not looking like the one who could commit any crime.

"You must be a born thief who acts well for sympathy," someone from the right cell shouts.

"Is it your first time in prison, kiddo?"
"How old are you, roadside vile?"
"Well, what a pretty good actor you are."
"You have to act for us often, girl."
Sarcastic comments were thrown up on her like a radar growing upwards in a stock market's play.

"You should learn from me to be a successful thief kiddie," a cheerful young man with blonde hair from the front row named Peter made a proud face to brag about self-proficiency to his cellmate Sharon, a brown-haired man who's ten years older than him. He was disturbed in his mid-sleep to hear his self-created version. He continued to brag about himself until Sharon decided to break his dreamy proclamation like a fallen glass of water.

"Therefore, you are in prison, babe. Yes, we should learn from you to be caught and beaten up by those so-called armies that rule over us after destroying our trust just to add our hometown to their ruling list and torture us. You are a great thief, "a great thief of this decade."

The crowd was going nuts after the maniac inside Sharon shouted back, and everyone cheered them on to fight for the sake of their entertainment.

Suddenly, a shooting sound made everyone go silent. Two guards runningly came towards the prison section after the general shot on the roof to silence all the noises. Those guards were standing quietly beside the general, lowering their heads to the floor, until they were asked where they had been!

"We went to have lunch, general; we didn't know that they would create such a mess-," one of them explains, but is stopped by his death stare, which was enough to shake anyone in fear.

"I didn't want any explanation; do your work properly," he orders in a stern voice, to which guards aggressively nod their heads.
