In the middle of the grand palace , Princess Adeline was super busy. The grand ball was just a few hours away and everyone was really excited. The air smelled like fresh roses and you could hear the palace staff working hard.

Adeline come out of the bathroom and sat in front of her vanity, looking at herself in the mirror. Her light blue hair was being styled into a fancy updo with diamond pins that sparkled under the chandelier's light.

" your Highness , which dress should you wear today?" one of her maids asked showing her a bunch of different dresses. Adeline smiled and pointed to the blue dress on the bed. Her gown, made of royal blue silk with silver embroidery, was ready to shine.

While waiting for her Lady-in-waiting to put the final touches on her makeup , Adeline's mind was somewhere else. In her mind , she was practicing her speech for tonight. She knew she has to make a big impact to the people who will watch her tonight.

She kept repeating over the words in her head, making sure she memorized each line, every word is important for her kingdom's future. "Together we gain strength. With kindness, we find our humanity. Through bravery, we discover hope" she murmured softly , staring at her reflection in the mirror.

"Oh my gosh, her highness looks so beautiful!"

"No wonder she's called the Goddess!"

She gave a smile in response to their compliments, bestowing a final, approving nod upon her reflection as she diverted her gaze from the mirror. Her Lady-in-waiting, a kind woman with a gentle smile, helped her into the royal blue gown. The silk felt cool against her skin and the silver embroidery shimmered in the soft light.

Her lady-in-waiting secured a diamond necklace around her neck, the stones felt cool against her skin. The necklace was a gift from her mother , served as an emblem of the royal heritage and its responsibilities. Adeline touched the diamonds lightly, feeling comforted by the familiar weight.

Putting on her silver slippers, Adeline heard a knock at the door. Her royal advisor, a really wise and experienced man, walked in. His eyes widened a bit when he saw her"

" The Kingdom waits for you. " Adeline nodded her head, a look of stubborn resolve in her eye " Thank you advisor. I'm ready," she said and he nodded back at her.

Together they walked the halls towards the grand ballroom, their footfalls ringing through deserted corridors. Palace staff had stopped and stared as Adeline went by, her chin lifted high, her eyes fierce. She could hear voices now, and music threaded through that. This was it. The beginning of everything.

The grand ballroom was amazing, with its sparkling chandeliers, golden curtains, and a bunch of nobles dressed in their fanciest clothes. The orchestra played a soft melody, making the room feel magical. People chatted constantly, with occasional bursts of laughter and the clinking of glasses.
