In the big dining hall at the royal palace, the sun was shining brightly, lighting up the room with its warm rays. Princess Adeline , sat at beside her father and was across her  mother. She was sipping her tea as she heard the sounds of cutlery clinking.

" Adeline, check out these letters from your suitors," the Queen declared , causing everyone to fall silent. " They're all asking for your hand in marriage"

When she heard that, her eyes widened in shock. Her heart was racing as she set down her teacup with a shaky hand. The idea of marriage proposals was nothing new for a princess like her but the suddenness of the Queen's announcement caught her off guard.  She knew she couldn't avoid these so she knew this would happen one way or another.

She let out a big sigh as she looked at her mother with a forced smile. " Thanks , Mom, for letting me know" Adeline said , trying to sound composed. " I appreciate the suitors' interest but I need some time to think about all this" she replied as both of her parents gave a nod. She might be composed in the outside but she's panicking in the inside. Internally.

" Mother , did you perhaps spread the news that I'll becoming Queen and I don't have a future husband planned for me?" She asked as her mother shook her head as a no. " No , sunshine. I'm shocked myself as you are. Our butler just gave me letters of different nobles wanting your hand in marriage. Would you like to look at them?" Her mother asked as Adeline gave a nod.

Her maids , Emily and Lily were standing by as the Queen signal one of them to grab the letters from her hands which Emily quickly move her feet. Emily grabbed the letters from the Queen before handing it over to Adeline which she mumbled a quick 'thank you'.

Emily gave  a  smile towards the princess before she quickly went back to her position. Adeline looked down to inspect each letters with curiosity. She can tell that the nobles who wanted her hand in marriage is one of the famous nobles out there. Some of them were even royalties from the different kingdoms.

" Mother , some of these letters are from royalty. Not just nobles.." Adeline said as both of her parents' eyes widened in shock. Adeline never expect that a prince from a different kingdom wanted her hand in marriage , I mean she knew this would happen eventually but she was still shocked.

" What kingdoms had sent you a letter , Addie?" Her father , the King himself, asked as Adeline took a breathe the moment she saw the symbols on each letter. " Kingdom of Seraphina , Zephyria, and Nocturna.. but I didn't see the symbol of the Kingdom of Avaloria.." she mumbled the last part as the two parents looked at each other before looking at Adeline.

" I heard that the Crown prince,  Prince Lorenzo from the kingdom of Avaloria has already engaged with one princess in another kingdom" Her father said as he ate some of his breakfast.  Hearing that made Adeline gave a small nod. She never knew Prince Lorenzo so she didn't mind at the moment.

" I see. Father, Mother. I know both of you are worried about my future since I haven't or avoided the conversation of getting a partner but please do not worry. I'm not any rush to get married or to settle down after I became Queen. Right now , my mind is set at the upcoming Harvest Festival. I hope you understand my decision" Adeline said with a serious look that made the Queen gasped a little.

This was the moment they finally realized. Princess Adeline isn't a little princess anymore but now a lady , knowing her responsibilities and making her own decisions. She has even the look of determination on her

" I understand , Addie. We are not rushing you or anything so please relax.  And regarding of the suitor problem.. let's discuss that after the Harvest Festival" her mother said with a smile as she sipped her tea. Hearing that made Adeline relaxed for a little. And so for the rest of the morning , they continued their breakfast that was filled with a heartful conversation.
