No chapter warnings for you today :)

------------------------------------------------------------

Under the clear night sky, Tree was sitting on a bench. His head was feeling slightly heavier than usual, but he was half asleep, so he didn't care too much.

However, unknown to him, a certain group of gamers had crept inside..

"Aaalright, gang!" Price Tag announced. "We begin."

They cleared their throat. "In your search for the mysterious Dragon's Gem, you find yourselves at a tavern. You think that there may be a chance that the locals have information about the treasure - what do you do?"

"Can I kill the bartender?" Pillow blinked innocently.

"Wooookay.." Price Tag kicked the dice over with their foot. "That's a three. Pillow, you fail to kill the bartender, and gettt.. kicked out of the tavern."

Book scooted closer. "Can I apologize to the bartender?"

"You roll a six. The bartender forgives you, but now everyone in the tavern is looking at you funny.."

"I think we should ask around. They've bound to know something!" Cake suggested, while Nickel leaned in and added, "Yeah! And while they're distracted, I might steal a thing or two.."

"Cake, you roll.. An eight! As you talk to the tavern locals, you hear a rumor that the dragon that possesses the gem lives at the heart of a giant, faraway mountain. Only the bravest of adventurers would be able to make the journey.."

"We're the bravest of adventurers!" Bomby's black oval eyes shimmered. "Let's ask them where the mountain is!"

"You roll a seven." The price ticket paused, as if thinking. "They don't tell you directly -- instead, they give you an old map to follow!"

"Let's burn the map!" Pillow butted in.

Book turned to her. "Pillow! You're kicked out!"

"Can I break into the tavern?"

Price Tag sighed. "That's a two. Pillow, you get banned from the tavern forever."

"Can I use Bomby to blow up the tavern?"

"No!" The explosive object screeched.

"I am officially talking to everybody but Pillow." They looked away. "ANYWAY. The map leads you straight to the mountain the dragon dwells in, but as you look closer, you see that the path crosses through dangers of all kinds! And, you want to obtain the Gem, you'll have to follow it!"

"Well, let's get going!" Book put her hands on her hips. "If we want that gem, we've got no time to waste!"

The group of objects cheered in agreement, but the excitement was silenced when Cake spoke in a nervous, questioning voice. "Uh.. Is our board glowing..?"

The board was indeed glowing. A bright light illuminated the dimly lit treehouse, and tiny little stars seemed to be floating around the board.

"Woah." Price Tag leaned in. "It didn't say anything about that on the box."

"If it's glowing, it could be radioactive!" The hardcover jumped back, a panicked look on her face. Pillow grinned. "Cool!"

"No way! It's clearly magic!" Bomby pointed at it. "Look at all of the stars!"

Suddenly, a loud rumble sounded through the room, and the objects scrambled for balance. At first, they assumed it was just Tree kicking them out, but then they realized it wasn't him shaking the treehouse -- it was the board.

"What's happening?" Cake cried. "Is it going to explode or something?"

"Let's use Bomby to blow it up first!"

"STOP SAYING THAT!"

Every member of Just Not -- barring Pillow, who sat perfectly still and unbothered -- began to back away as a strong wind whirled through the treehouse, knocking everything over and scattering their cards.

They felt a powerful force dragging them in towards the board. It grew stronger and stronger and stronger, until the group was clinging for dear life.

Eventually, it became too strong, and they all lost their grip.

All of them screamed as they were dragged in, and after a bright flash of light, they were all gone. Entirely.

Well, everyone except for Price Tag.

They were in the far corner of the room, stunned. It took them a long moment to comprehend what had just happened, and they started forward.

Everything was calm again. The room was no longer shaking, the wind was no longer rushing, and the board was no longer glowing. It was like nothing had ever happened at all. And it was like no one had even been in the treehouse at all, either.

Confused, the price ticket stood in the center of the room and looked around for their teammates, only to find that they were completely alone.

"Uhh.." Price Tag looked down at the space their friends had been dragged toward. "..Guys?"
