THIRD PERSON'S POV

A couple, Joshua and Selene, celebrated their 7th anniversary. "Happy 7th Anniversary, Love!" Selene greeted as she put down the food she brought into Joshua's condo. It is for their celebration. Hindi sumagot si Joshua at ngumiti lang nang pilit kay Selene at napansin naman agad ito ni Selene. "Bakit? May nangyari ba?" Selene worriedly asked. "Let's break up." Joshua said with determination. "Nagbibiro ka lang diba? May surprise ba? Asan?" Selene asked again as she looked around the condo hoping that it's just some part of Joshua's surprise. However Selene's smile faded when she saw Joshua's reaction. "Let's stop this, hindi na 'to magwowork. I fell out of love. Nagising na lang ako na hindi na kita mahal." he said. "Pero paano? Hindi pwede. Kahapon lang okay pa tayo ah" naguguluhang sabi ni Selene. "Selene, I tried. Sinubukan kong mahalin ka ulit pero wala na eh. Wala na akong nararamdaman."

Selene couldn't process what she heard and left the condo. She is overwhelmed by the sudden turn of their relationship. She thought that everything was perfect for them.

Day after day, Selene pleaded with Joshua. "Joshua, please, talk to me. What happened to us?" Selene asked. Joshua avoided eye contact with Selene and said "Selene, things change. It's not the same anymore." "But we can fix it, right? We can go back to the way things were. Gagawin ko lahat ng gusto mo, bumalik ka lang please?" Selene pleaded. However, Joshua ignored her leaving her in the midst of the darkness.

Selene did not stop begging Joshua to come back. Her messages filled his phone, but his heart remained distant.

*In the phone*

Selene: Joshua, can we meet? We need to talk.

Selene: Please, talk to me. I can't lose you.

Selene: Joshua, don't you remember the promises we made on our first anniversary?

Selene: Nagpromise kang papakasalan mo 'ko 'di ba?

Selene: Pinakilala mo pa nga ako kila Tita kasi 'di ba sabi mo sakin mo nakikita yung future mo.

Joshua: People change, Selene. Feelings change.

Selene: But love is supposed to be enduring. Can't we try to find it again?

But instead of hearing Joshua's voice, a different voice answered her. "I'm sorry Ma'am but are you related to Mr. Joshua Gray?" an emergency responder asked. "Yes, bakit? Anong nangyari" Selene asked in a nervous tone. Joshua's life was claimed by a sudden car accident, leaving Selene devastated and alone.

Overwhelmed by grief, she couldn't bear the pain and performed the ritual once again, hoping to escape the heartache. She successfully got back in the past.

However, as time goes by, with their repeated actions, Selene realizes that perhaps their love was not meant to withstand the test of time. Yet, she chose to cherish the moments with Joshua, accepting their fate as she clung to the fleeting happiness they shared.
