Serena's POV

After school, I had notified Aaron and April to meet with me at the penthouse I am currently staying at. I need to show them the evidences I'd received from Mr. Ruddock's art-room today.

I sat in the cold office watching the old iPhone charge on my desk while the USB drive is loaded on my laptop.
"So what did you find?"

I peer my focus to the door where April enters first in a body tight maxi dress, then Aaron in his usual casual fit. April straddles over to my side, leaning down to my level, "that's it? There wasn't anything else?"

April Mavis Rivers, the only daughter of Joseph D.River. A man who uses his great knowledge to invent unimaginable gadgets for destructible purposes in others lives for a living. Secretly murdering his wife after finding out her affair with his secretary and keeping it all in the dark for his little girl. She was raised without the word "no" to her face.

"You don't get to fucking say shit when you haven't brought anything to the table." I lash out and pushed the rolling chair back as I stood and walked away. Just because her daddy does everything she pleases and raised her in rainbows and sunshine's, doesn't mean I will tolerate her the same.

Though we all may go to the same school, Aaron and I have never been close with April. Honestly speaking, her family's status and class are not worthy enough for our attention. She was simply assigned with us by the school's principal, separating Aaron and I from Micah.

"April, take the evidences and leave. That is your agreement task." Aaron finally opens his vocal cords.
She lets a heavy breath out and shoved the Evidences into her bag then walks passed us to the door, "if I knew you were like this I would have asked for another group, Bitches!" She curses aloud at the end and slams the door.

"I'm going to kill her after we graduate." I turn and say to Aaron but he just smiled and shook his head downwards.
"Micah is in the area so I called him over so that we could have some fun."

"You have plans?" I still asked, though I had already knew Micah and he always have fun ideas.

"Plans for the next 100 years we'll be together, princess!" He proudly pretends to unjust his necktie like this is an important business meeting.
His phone suddenly buzzed as a text was sent to him, he read it quickly and shoves the phone back into his pocket.

"We're going golfing, change up and gear up. Micah will meet us at the place."

Fucken bastards. He said fun but It's golf.

——

"We're here, Lady Serena and Sir. Sokolov." Vincent stops the car, where we are not at a golf field. No grass, no open land, no flags, nothing.

"We're on the rooftop of a parking garage." I state the obvious but Aaron who had already hoped off doing his stretches.

Vincent quickly opens my door with the same confused expression as mine. Micah's car roars in the distance announcing his arrival, looking around it will only be our cars on this level.

Vincent takes out my golf kit and bags following Aaron and I to the edge of the building.

"Golfing! How exciting!" Micah cheers from inside his convertible car then rushing out of his car along with his equipment bag swung across his shoulder.

"What's the rules?" I gave up asking them.

They both devil-ly grin to one another and turns to me again, "see those cars parked below us..." I glanced down seeing cars completely filling the ground, "we aim for their windshield and whoever hits the furthest wins."

A smile tugs the corner of my lips thinking of how menacing their idea is.

We hurriedly set up our station in a distanced vertical position, facing the parked vehicles below us.

Aaron pitches first. His stance held strong with his hands gripping the golf club so tight within his leather gloves.

"Wouldn't a prize for the winner be great?" He says before giving a strong swing, sending the ball hitting one of the distance car's side mirror off. "Pity. It was an ordinary Mercedes." He clicks his tongue in disappointment.

Aaron drops his golf club to rest on his shoulder as Micah starts to practice his swings, "When I win... I want you to throw me a party full of hot chicks for myself." He swings. His hit landing just two rows further than Aaron's.

"Don't you always have those parties?" Aaron scoffs looking into the distance. "Well, I'm curious of Serena's little hideout. You'll let me visit if I win won't you, princess?"

"Wait! Hold the fuck up! I changed my mind, I also want to know, ma!" Micah hurries changing his prize to the same as Aaron.

They want to visit my home. A place I had built for myself to hide from my ridiculous family. A place so disconnected from the city's light and sound of traffic. A place where i can finally call home. A place that is mine alone.

"Honestly, your place literally doesn't fucking exist in any documents of building records or basically anything. You been living there since you left the Vespertine Island, princess."

"If I win ... my place will remain my secret."

I swing my club hard. Hard enough that my waist was about to twist and juice my organs, hard enough that my arms tingles after the impact. Through I do trust Aaron and Micah with my life as we grew up together but just ... just this time. I would like to be selfish and not share.

I let out a sharp exhale and await for Vincent's judgments.

"A tie with Sir. Whitlam's distance,-" Vincent announces, "-but lady Serena's hit had completely shattered the car's windshield while Sir. Whitlam's hit had only cracked the windshield. To this, Lady Serena takes the win." Vincent finalises the score.

Aaron sighs before he and Micah smiles at me, "I guess your place is still a secret for now but you will invite us over one day."

One day.

"Yeah." I nod and dug out another golf ball in my bag then placing it on the tee.

We continue golfing until we parted ways home. As I enter the penthouse I receive a text from Chloe,
Wanna skip school tmr and shop with me?
Just us two.

Though I had some suspicion on her random invite I still replied with ok, cool! Then followed by her chosen location and time.
But her chosen shopping location was the last place I expected her to choose from out of all her usual outings with close friends and families.
She would usually visit all of New York's top luxurious malls or even fly out to Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, so why did she change for me and pick a place she had never been too, nevertheless one of my family's business.

The Elite Empire.
