Zac and Zamani stayed for about an hour. When they left I got a little more work done and got ready to head out. As I was packing up my best friend Treasure called.
"Heyy bestie" I answer the FaceTime with a smile on my face
"Don't hey bestie me Fatima, bitches have a baby and forget about they best friend" Treasure snaps at me
I can't lie once I had Zamani I shut the outside world out. If you weren't my baby or my husband you didn't hear or see me. The last time I saw Treasure was right before I gave birth. And the last time we spoke over the phone was a few weeks ago. Don't get me wrong she has been calling, I just always seem to miss them.
Treasure and I have been best friends since middle school. When I first moved to Dallas nobody really liked me or really tried to get to know me. Treasure was the first person to come up to me and talk to me. She is the sweetest, most caring, kindhearted person I know but if you fuck with her or her bestie, let's jus say you would have thought you met saints daughter in the flesh. She matches my crazy and I wouldn't trade her for anyone else in this world.
"I know, I know I'm sorry bestie. Look I'm finna head to the spa, how about you meet me up there and we can catch up? I miss my best friend" I pout and bat my eyelashes
She rolls her eyes and laughs "Bro stop making that face, you play too much. I miss you too bestie, yeah I'll meet you up the. What spa you going to?" She asked
"Milk + Honey. They have everything we need and more" just imagining how great this massage is going to be.
"Okay bet meet you there in 30. I love you drive safe" she spoke walking into her bathroom
"I will, I love you too. See you soon" I say before hanging up
I finish packing up and head to Naomi's office to tell her I'm leaving. I get to the parking garage walking to my car and I I have a feeling someone is watching me. I look around and see no one. I just brush it off and get in my car. I hook my phone up as usual, playing my soft girl playlist. Dangerously in Love by Beyoncé starts blasting though my speakers as I pull out. I start singing my heart out like Zac is sitting right next to me. I make it to the spa in 20 minutes, Treasure and I pull in at the same time. We get out and run to each other like we're still in middle school.
"BESTIEEE!!" We scream in our embrace
We pull apart and she punches me in my arm "Don't you ever in your life ever go that long without seeing me or speaking to me again. The only reason you not coming up missing is because of my godbaby" she say with an attitude. Of course she Zamani's godmother it was a no brainer.
"Ohh bitch imma let you have that one but you better not hit me again before I drag your ass across this parking lot" I say rubing where she hit me, that lil bitch strong asl
"Yeah okay, let's get inside" we walk in the building. We checked in, I'm getting the works. A mani and Pedi, a massage, my hair touched up, and a wax. Treasure was getting a massage, her hair done, and a wax. We head to the back towards the locker room to get ready for our massage
"So how's motherhood treating you" she asked getting undressed
"It's amazing not gone lie it's was a big adjustment but I love everything about it" I blush
"Aww bestie you're glowing, I'm just so happy for you." "I'm glad you took one for the team cuz I sure as hell not having any" she laughs
"Bitch shut up, let you find the right nigga he gone trap your ass and don't come to me crying either" I laughed as I see her face change
"Fatima don't even play with me like that what Latto say I'll spend that $500 for I ever trap you" she sticks her tongue out shaking her ass
"Okay you say that now just wait"
"And I mean that Shit, anyways how was your first day back in the office?" She asked
I roll my eyes "It was cool but we got this new construction work and he kinda creeps me out"
"What do you mean? What he do?"
I proceed to tell her everything from Hayden bumping into me to him coming in my office during my lunch date with Zac.
"Girl you need to handle that shit and fast you know how Zac is." Treasure say side eyeing me
"Tell me about that nigga go from zero to a thousand in a heartbeat and it's hard to calm him down once he gets there" I shake my head remembering just how crazy my husband is
"Yeah and one wrong move it's gone be bye bye lil Hayden" she says and I bust out laughing
"Girl why you over there laughing knowing I'm right. That husband of yours is mentally unstable, especially when it comes to you" she giggled
"Okay not to much on my man cuz I'm the same way. Once we said "I do" it was Welcome to death row"
"Y'all are just to crazy ass people in love. I pray for Mani when she get older dealing with y'all two" shaking her head
"Girl bye, let's go I'm ready for this massage" I say walking out the locker room in my robe
We enjoy our spa day and just catch up. I let her know about the house warming/ meeting baby Z. She was so excited even tho she thought she should meet Mani first because she's her godmother, which I agree with it's just both our schedules for the next few days are crazy. So the house warming is the perfect middle, and I know once she meets Zamani she gone be over the house every other day.
We wrap up our day, pay out and head to the parking lot. We say our goodbye and walked to our vehicles. Once again I get that weird feeling someone is watching me. I looked around and saw someone sitting in a black Toyota. I can't see the face cuz they have tented windows but I can see a figure. When they notice I saw them they hurried and drove off. I quickly got in my car and head home. I need to tell Zac about this.
Once I arrive at home I noticed Zac wasn't home yet. So I decided to call him and see where he was at.
"Heyy baby" he answers
"Heyy babe, um where are you?" I asked
"I'm at the store Zamani needed some more wipes and I had to pick up her prescription for her eczema cream" he tells me "what's wrong" he asked concerned
"Aw nothing just got home and was wondering where y'all were that's all. I miss y'all" I responded
"We miss you too baby, promise we'll be home in about 30 minutes"
"Okay see you soon, drive safe with my baby now" I playfully demanded
"Girl I always dive safe, especially with Mani"smacking his teeth "But okay see you soon, I love you" making kissing noises
"I love you too" I say reciprocating the action
Once we hang up I head into the house and go straight to my room. I go to our closet, I grab one of Zac's shirts and boxers. I place them on the bed as I head into our bathroom and turn the shower on. I wipe my makeup off and tie my hair up before, I hook my phone up to our built in bathroom speakers and play my shower playlist. As You Don't Really Know Me by Jessie J starts playing I step in the shower letting that hot water just rain on me. I'm standing there just thinking of a way to tell Zac about this feeling I've been having. I know him he gone get upset and jump to conclusions, maybe I shouldn't tell him it's not that serious anyways, right?
