TEYVAT : Children of Light

PROLOGUE : Reincarnation

[START — PROLOGUE]

—EYE OF EDEN, XX/XX/XXXX

'Finally,' Thought a certain person, as they flew alongside the butterflies and multiple other creatures.

'I'm gonna get back home now.. Away from those scary creatures..' They think, as they finally reach the ground, only mere steps away from the portal.

But something unexpected happens, As they prepare to step into the portal... Another portal opens up under them.. sucking them in as though it were a Black Hole..

"Mph-!" Not even getting enough time to shout, The person reaches their hands out to their friends..

But before any of them reaches the child.. All becomes black, the void suffocating the child of flame.

—Monsdadt, 300 years before the Archon war.

"It is happening today.." Whispered the prophet, Smiling to himself as they read the scroll over and over again, "The Child of Light will finally be born.."

He chuckled, as his wife, Ater, walked into the room.

"How is it going?" She asked as she placed the tray of fruits on the table. "Is everything alright?"

"Oh everything is perfect. The child is born.. and after many reincarnations... They'll enter Teyvat.. Once and for all.. After the Archon war, and though we may not be alive, our souls will help the child." This time, the prophet frowned.

"We have to make sure that the curse won't effect their surroundings too much." The prophet sighed again for the —th time as they gently touch the papers containing spells, And Light.

"The little Light has a lot coming for them.." Ater chuckled as she poured the wine into the small cup.

"Yeah.. A lot.." The prophet mutters as a strange emotion swirls deep in his heart.. as it prepares to spread like a Virus.. changing him forever..

—Monsdadt, Present.

Y/N's eyes opened wide as they swim out of the water.

Was this an assassination attempt!? They quickly got onto green grass and dusted themselves off, bringing out a candle to keep themselves lit.

The scary thing was... This didn't look like sky. The presence of all the light creatures are gone... but the dimmed ones.. they are so familiar..

Y/N shrugs as they stand up, sending a small sound signal to see if anyone's near, or if there are some temples around.

Their eyes widened as they see unfamiliar ghosts and temples all around.

They had to be careful with their light, since now... there might not be a way to rekindle themselves..

"What the.. where.. where am I..?" They think for some time. And then, they look up. There it was-! Sky-! But... it seems that now.. Y/N is under the island called sky.. and are now in.. The mortal world.

They heard legends of it, but had never been there before...

Y/N sighs as they walk to the nearest civilisation. This must be Monsdadt, Barbatos' domain. Y/N heard that Barbatos was nice and kind, and was also once a child of Light.. so they should be safe... right..?

Y/N remembers that Teyvatians call Sky, Celestia.

What a pretty name! Y/N walks to the guards up front, bowing in respect. They speak in [Your Language], but it seems that they don't understand, judging by the confused looks.

So they speak the little Teyvatian they know.

"Hello.. I am Y/N.. Can I please enter Monsdadt?" The Knights give them a strange look, especially with the mask they were wearing.

"You.. may." One of the Knights finally answer after some time.

"Thank You." Y/N gently bows, and then runs away into Monsdadt. Grinning, they get ready to explore the vast terrain. 

But then, suddenly, they bump into a random bard.

Apologizing, they run away and look for something to eat. But then, they realise, they don't have Teyvatian currency... oops.

They ask a little Flame what the currency was called, and it replied, 'Mora.'

Y/N hums and tries summoning some gold, and after proving it to be futile, they sigh. They look up at the clouds, so high up... where they used to glide..

They never thought they could fall.. but it happened in the weirdest way possible.

They pass a Cathedral, An Inn, multiple different shops... and then, they decide to rest in the middle of a forest.

It was big, very big. They started exploring and met.. some.. weird creatures. But they offered Y/N food, so that's nice :D

They sat around a campfire, on some logs. This felt like a dream, But Y/N wonders.. when will it end...? Y/N also noticed that the creatures, Which they found out were called Hilichurls, speak a language that was close to the language spoken in Sky.

Weird...

Anyways, after some time, Y/N goes out to explore some more. They find tasty flowers called sunsettias, which were very pretty aswell.

When the sun set, Y/N returned to the Hilichurl camp and was given a soft bed to sleep on.

Though they didn't know what was going to happen in the future, they were ready for it.

Afterall, 'curIoSiTy kILlEd the cAt, but satisfaction brought it back.'

I am Akira, Your Author. Nice to meetcha. I'm not new to writing, but this is my first book on this account. Check the first page for more info.

I will be separating this book into nine total parts, with specials I between each part. Seven of the parts will be in the nation's, so they will be very long. If I reach a limit, I'll add a different chapter aswell.

The last two will be Abyss and Sky, which is Celestia.
