The day had come, the day where I would embark on a new chapter, leaving the past behind to pursue my dreams and build a career.
Finally, I hoped to be free from judgment.
Maybe?...
I doubted it. I had only changed the place, but the people remained the same.
As I scanned the unfamiliar surroundings, my eyes locked onto a guy. I needed to find the office, so I mustered the courage to approach him.
"Excuse me."
I spoke up, but he looked at me as if I were some kind of alien.
"Yes?"
He raised a skeptical brow.
"Where is the office?"
I needed to locate my class.
"First left, then right, then straight. You'll be in front of the office."
He replied with a smirk on his face. What was there to smirk about?
Ignoring the negative thoughts, I followed the directions he had given.
First left.
Then right.
Then straight.
Huh?
Boys' washroom?
That motherfucker had given me the wrong directions. I harshly sighed, hearing boys' laughter nearby. I turned around to see the same guy who misled me, laughing unbothered with his friends. I shot him a glare, but he remained unfazed.
"Hey."
I shifted my gaze to the left to find a guy with a handsome face, doe-like eyes, and captivating piercings.
"What?"
I wasn't in the mood for small talk.
"Nothing. They're just a bunch of boys from our college who love to mess with others."
He chuckled, revealing a charming bunny-like smile. I sighed and managed a small smile.
"By the way, I'm Jungkook."
He extended his hand for a shake, and I accepted.
"Aelda."
He released my hand.
"So, what can I help with?"
"I wanted to know where the office is, but those bastards showed me the way to the washroom."
I rolled my eyes, and he laughed. I glared at him, but he just smiled and took my hand.
In a sudden turn of events, within two minutes, I found myself standing in front of the office.
"Here we are."
"Thanks"
"It's nothing. By the way, what is your major?" he asked.
"Financial management and business," I replied, a small smile dancing on my lips.
"Oh wow, I'm in the law stream," he beamed.
"That's so nice," I nodded in agreement.
"You can go and ask where your class is; I'm heading to mine because..." He glanced at his watch. "I'm 29 minutes late," he chuckled nervously.
"Of course, please don't be late because of me," I said, waving my hands.
"Well, I'm not late because of you. I wanted to help," he shrugged, waved goodbye, and left the place.
