A car stood in line behind many others. Up ahead, a man in a onesie was checking reservations. Deep woods surrounded the dark road but Ruby wasn't afraid. She could see fairy lights decorating the camp ground entrance. She  was determined to show her college friends a good time on this retreat.

"Hello! Can I see your reservation?" Said the man in the onesie. Ruby smiled at the festive man, "Yes, one second." The red head leaned back and picked up the bag from her friends lap. "No thank you to you, Ace." Ruby told the half asleep 19 year old.

"Road trips make me sleepy!" He defended. Ruby rolled her eyes and showed the QR code to the onesie man. "Thank you, would you like firewood while your here?" He then asked. Beside her, Selena nodded. "Yes please!"

Ruby nodded. "Yes, how much for the wood?"

"How many do you need?"

"We are just staying the weekend," Ruby responded. She gave the gate man the 15 he requested and drove to the camp site on her ticket. There were so many people out in funky clothing and costumes, it made Ruby antsy to get festive. "Look! Its a live action dnd campaign!" Selena said pressing her hands and face against the window. Outside stood a tall, white, tepee tent which fit a audience on blankets and several pillows. They were watching two people interact. From the sound of it the Dungeon master is asking the volunteer to fend off a monster or something."

Ruby finally fond a spot to park the car and cut the ignition.  "Finally! My feet were about to fall off!" she said in relief. Selena went to set the tent while Ruby and Ace set up a gazeebo over some chairs and a long fold-able table.

"I brought two tents, who wants to sleep with me?" Selena asked, bringing over the portable stove. Ruby looked up from the plastic bin she was rummaging in. "I'm sleeping with Selena!" she said, calling dibs. "Ace your sleeping in the second tent." Selena chuckled at her friend. "Well, you just want me all to yourself don't you," she lightly teased. Warmth rose to Ruby's cheeks, "N-no..I just thought it was appropriate since Ace is a guy." But on second thought I wouldn't mind, she thought herself.

"As if I would do anything!" Ace defended, causing Selena to laugh at his flustered face. "Don't laugh at me! Its not funny!" Ace pouted. They finished up pretty quickly. The night was still young so people of different ages walked around in groups to different workshop tents. Ruby and Selena got their faces painted and got some treats before listening to a concert.

Around 11pm, Ruby dragged a tipsy Selena back to their tent area. Man, Selena was a flirt when she wasn't sober. Ruby bit her lip debating if she should confess or not. Would Selena even remember? She's not drunk but it's not right to brain pick someone when their not themselves.

"You know what I think? " Selena said again. Ruby tilted her head. "We should have a bon-fire tonight." Ruby smiled at her friend. "That's a great idea...I thought I sometimes I saw last festival and It would be nice to have an excuse to talk to them again," she mused. "That makes no sense! You have enough courage to show off your gorgeous body but your too shy to go up to people?" Selena asked. "Listen, you know what your problem is? You let your anxiety talk to much. "

That was true. She and Selena were complete opposites. Selena was very loud and out going while Ruby was timid as a mouse unless  the topic was fashion. "Okay how do you suppose I stop that?" Ruby stopped and looked at her friend, making the coins on her chain belt clink. Earlier Ruby got showered with compliments about her funky crop top and skirt.

"How many years have you been going to this festival?" Selena asked. "Three?" Ruby nodded, "yes, three." Selena sighed. "everyone's walking in cool outfits and your just sitting there talking the compliments! Compliment them! Ask them how they came up with it! It's not that hard."

Ruby bit her lip knowing her friend was correct. She entered the gazebo and made herself a cup of tea. While the water was boiling she threw on a hoodie over her crop top. It failed to reach her waist and just hovered above the bottom of her belly button. "Selena do you want tea?" She asked their shared tent. There was a pause before a struggled yes was audible followed by "damn these pants are getting smaller!"

Ruby giggled. The teapot hissed and Ruby poured the hot water into two cups. She put hibiscus in both. She waited. Finally the tent unzipped and Selena stepped out in a teal white shirt that had pockets on her breasts, camouflaged cargo pants and a vest.

"Cute outfit," Ruby compliments.

 "Thanks!"

Ruby blushed and looked away as Selena stood up from a crawl and stretched. Stop being so hot, darn it!  Ruby looked back just in time to see Selena's top crawl up just a few inches above her deep belly button, stretching it into a oval. The golden tan skin made Ruby mentally drool. It look so heavenly soft. Sadly the moment ended as Selena put her arms down. "Saw something you liked?" Selena teased. Heat rushed to Ruby's face as she sipped her tea. Selena just laughed and went to join her at the table. "Stare as much as you want, sweet cheeks." Selena said before sipping her tea. Ruby threw an eraser at her laughing friend. "It's not funny!"

12am brought laughter around a lit fire pit. Ace and Ruby managed to find a couple of friendly face to join them on Truth or  Dare. Ruby was happy about that. She sat in her foldable chair and basked in the warmth of the fire. "Attention, attention," Selena said as she banged her cup with a fork. Selena was more sober now. "If everyone could quiet down, we can commence the game. " Silence fell over the audience around the bon fire. "Perfect. Before we start, I wanted to quickly introduce myself.  I'm Selena and I'm on this camping experience with two lovely friends" Selena said gesturing to us. "I have to say it's been quite a fun experience going to all the different workshops. The foods great, what's not great is that my friend almost hit the poor ticket mans head off for asking too many questions" Selena then said, causing a few people to laugh.

"Hey! For a very valid reason!" Ace whined. Ruby chuckled as Selena pulled him into a side hug. Ace squawked softly. "It's okay Ace-ster" Selena said petting his black hair softly. "Everyone's cranky sometimes." Ruby laughed at her friends antics, "while my grumpy friend is being comforted, who wants to start the game?" She asked.
