We were going home from our vacation in Dubai. That place was beautiful, people called it the city in the clouds because the clouds would literally be going through the city and the buildings were above them, but it and along with me will become a memory.

I was stuck inside the upside down car. The doors wouldn't open.. Then I looked in the drivers seat and my father wasn't there, he was outside the car, crushed by something, I couldn't make out what it was.

My father was a man who never took no as an answer. He hated it when people didn't see the real picture but instead the statistics of the world ... Oh she has a million dollars and she has a hundred dollars. Those type of things didn't define people to him. To him everyone was equal, but the people who stuck out were those who were like him, those who look at the bigger picture of things. He was one of those people in those high places, a president. He always lived by these words "There is no such thing as no, only excuses, only things that you think are impossible are possible.. you just need a little creativity."

My eyes were hazy but I blinked and looked where my mother sat, she wasn't there, she was now through the window screen. She was not with me anymore.

My mother was one of those people who stuck out to him, she would always be able to make him smile or laugh. She was an artist, she could draw a squiggle on a paper and people would be awed... she was just that amazing. Her way of looking at the world was in black and white. She always said to me "If you look at something with colors you judge it on its appearance, but if you look at something in black and white you can see their soul." She has never painted anything in colors, just shades of black and white.

You could say my parents were the "perfect" couple, always smiling and never crying. I have seen them have an argument maybe once or twice but that was about silly things like what flavor ice cream was the best or what coffee was the best. They weren't opposites, more of the same person. Just different genders. Twin flames...

My siblings were on either side of me and had died on impact. They would have never survived if they had lost any blood, they were too young, they hadn't even developed properly yet . . .

My baby sister and brother, who were twins, were opposites. She was Ying and he was Yang. They created a balance between one another. My sister was the quiet one, the patient one, the caring one. Where as my brother was exactly the opposite. He was loud, impatient and carless. They fought a lot with one another because opposites attract... but it doesn't always have to be love, it can be hate as well.

My parents referred to me as the "Black sheep" of the family. I am a 'stupid, hormonal teenager' to them. Everyone feels like a stupid, hormonal teenager. The difference between them and me is I actually am one.

I sat in the car, shocked. I couldn't run. Is this all a trick being played by my mind, a dream? The thing is what made me so special that I'm still alive, still breathing? Maybe it was luck. More of a curse, If I survived this, I would have no family, I'd be alone. My parents are very.. you could say hippy people, believing in the angels and the positive and negative energy. So I obviously get influenced by such things like this.

My mother said every single thing with a soul has a guardian angel. My guardian angel must have been with me when this happened. Well, it couldve been another angel, Archangel Michael. He comes to you when you are in serious trouble and the only way you sense him there with you is when you suddenly feel calm.

I felt exactly that. It felt warm, safe. I looked away from my dead family and started to think on how to get out of the vehicle. I looked at the door and I tried kicking it with my feet, it wouldn't open.

I looked behind me and saw the boot of the car's window had broken, pieces of the glass still remained attached to the sides. I crawled to the back and climbed out the window. Cutting my hands and knees as I got out. I winced. Once I was out, I looked around me but I couldn't see anything it was too dark, we must have gone off the road and into the valley. Then I decided to look up, noticing cars above. They were flashing blue and red lights. "Help! I'm down here!" I began saying waving my arms around. "Hey, Someone's alive down there," I heard someone yell from afar. "Get the medics quick!" I heard him say before I noticed something rustle in the bushes in front of me.

Then suddenly I heard a gun fire. A bullet pierced my the skin by my left hip. I immediately couldn't help but think about the times when I'd walk into a table and my hip would hit it. I'd scream I've been shot and limp around. It's silly, yes, but that's just how I am. I guess if you say something so much to yourself it'll eventually become true. I screamed and I feel onto the ground.

I felt someone kneel next to me, they came close to my ear and whispered. "You're family destroyed mine," He took his gun and put it against my head. "I'm returning the favor." There was a gunshot, but not from his gun. It came from the people above. They were trying to save me. One of the shots hit him and he screamed. "This is not over." His last words before leaving to run for his own life.

I lay there, on the cold ground, a puddle of blood forming around me. I never really thought dying was something that scared me, but now that I'm actually experiencing it, I'm scared as hell. My vision slowly began to fade. I started to lose control over my body, more and more blood came out. I put my hand on my side, putting pressure on it to stop blood loss. I couldn't keep myself awake anymore, I could feel myself dying. I eventually gave in. Death finally had it's grip on me.
