The next day, Juniper was able to get up and move around again. There were still some aches and pains from the damage that had been done to their body, but it was a lot more tolerable than yesterday. It would still take a day or two before they had fully recovered from the attack.

They had been offered to stay at the house until they were healed again. Afterwards, they were able to go to wherever they wanted. Juniper wasn't sure where else they would go at this point. They wanted to stay with Towa but still worried that Bamba wouldn't like them getting so close to his little brother.

"Good morning, Juniper." Koh was the first one up to greet them in the morning.

"Morning, Koh."

"Do you feel better?"

"Yeah. I feel a lot better." Juniper nodded. "Thank you guys for helping me... I'm sorry about all the trouble I'm causing..."

Koh shrugged off their apology. "Don't sweat it. If anything, it's us who caused all the trouble in the first place."

"If I had just been honest to begin with... a lot of this wouldn't have happened." Juniper mumbled.

"You had a lot of reasons to be distrustful of us." A new voice came into the conversation: Melto.

Melto and Asuna both entered the room now as well. Juniper was still a little wary of them all. They said they trusted Juniper now but...

"I learned to never tell the truth... because it always just made things worse..." Juniper mumbled.

It was an unfortunate truth. They never were able to openly talk about their family or their past without someone getting mad at them or worse, hurting them. They had learned fast to act like nothing was strange about them to keep themself safe from others.

"You really were hated for an act your parents did?" Asuna asked, "That seems... almost too cruel. Is there really nothing else to it?"

"If there is... I am not aware of it..." Juniper lied. They still were not comfortable telling anyone they were part druidon yet. That would have to wait for quite some time until they felt like they could really trust these people.

"That's fair." Melto replied, "Your mother probably wanted to try to protect you from the truth of the matter."

"There's no one left to really ask for any info about you though... guess we'll never really know what happened." Koh said.

"There isn't?" Juniper questioned.

"Ah, right. You must not know. The..." Koh paused. "The tribe was massacred by the Druidons when they returned to Earth. Practically no one is left."

"Oh..."

Juniper felt relief more than anything. Less people to potentially expose their secret to everyone. It was sad that so many innocent lives had been lost but it was good for them.

"Why did you guys think I was a Druidon anyway?" Juniper asked.

"Well... like we said, Wiseru can shift into a human so... with how secretive you were we kind of just assumed the worst." Melto explained.

"Are there no kind Druidons?"

"Kind? A Druidon? That's laughable."

"Right..."

That just solidified it more for Juniper that they could not let these Ryusoulgers know that they were half Druidon. That would be the end of them at this point in time. If they could prove their worth more and gain everyone's trust better, then maybe they could tell them the truth. But for now this secret had to be kept under lock and key.
