I'll always choose you

"What's with the face?"

There was a very apparent scowl etched onto Sunoo's face. "The waitress is flirting with you."

The younger took a sip of his lemonade, shaking his head. "Really? I don't think so." He hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary. The waitress hadn't said anything inappropriate. However, he did believe Sunoo as he apparently tends to overlook situations like this.

"She's barely acknowledged me and has her eyes permanently stuck in your direction." Sunoo was throwing daggers at the woman every time she came over but she was always too entranced by his boyfriend to notice his annoyed expression.

"Next time she comes I'll ask for the check and we can go, is that okay?" Sunoo gave him a happy nod. He was about to respond but he saw the waitress making her way over. The way his face instantly fell was quite comical.

Once again, she stood at the head of the table, eyes locked on Niki. "Do you want any dessert? It'll be free of charge for you today." Sunoo's eye twitched as she continued. "Cute people should get free desserts."

Sunoo had to hold back his years of martial arts.
How dare she flirt with Niki? Couldn't she see that he was on a date with him? She was pissing him off and Niki could see that.

To inevitably calm Sunoo down, he took his boyfriend's hands in his own. "Do you want dessert baby?"

Sunoo looked up and saw the waitresses face fall and it made his face light up. "I'm okay! I'd rather finish our date elsewhere." The woman got the hint, it was pretty hard not to, and rushed away saying she would get the bill.

Niki could still see the minor frustration in Sunoo's shoulders and he sighed. "I'll always choose you." His eyes sparkled. "You're never getting rid of me."

I'll always be here for you, no matter the time or place

Sunoo was prone to nightmares, especially when he was stressed, and lucky him his job was going through a whole review process only giving him more and more work.

Once he woke up from one of the nightmares it sometimes took him hours to get back to sleep.

Now that he was living with Niki his nightmares seemed to lessen. And even if they did come, he was able to cuddle up to Niki and gain the comfort that he needed.

However, he wasn't always this comfortable. At the very start of their relationship, before they lived together, a specific situation was impeded in his memories.

This dream was a particularly bad one and he needed to talk to someone. He picked up his phone and called the first person he thought of.

"Sunoo?" His boyfriends groggy voice only made him realize how late it actually was. "What's wrong? It's like 4 in the morning."

Sunoo rushed out the words before he could even think. "I— I had a really bad dream and you were the first person I called. I know it's really late, I just needed to talk to someone." Sunoo finished and realized how pathetic he sounded. Why did he call Niki? "I'm sorry I'll just—"

"No." Shuffling was heard on the other end. "I'll stay on until you fall asleep." Sunoo was shaking his head until he realized Niki couldn't see him. "I can't ask you to do that, you have to wake up early tomorrow."

Niki made a noise of discontent. "You're anxious right now and I need to make sure you're okay. I'm not hanging up until I know you're asleep." Sunoo wanted to argue, hang up even, but Niki was persistent. There was absolutely no changing his mind. "I'll always be here for you, no matter the time or place."

you're all I need

Sunoo finally heard the front door close and shoes hit the shoe rack.

By the aggressive drop of Niki's bag and the huff he let out, Sunoo could tell it hadn't been a good day. "Hey, you okay?" The younger shook his head as he plopped on the couch, obviously dejected.

Recently Niki had taken over his parents' dance studio, and as much as Niki loved dancing, this new ownership was bringing nothing but stress.

"Some choreo I've been working on just isn't coming together no matter what I do and it's so frustrating." Niki has these blocks sometimes, it's practically inevitable when you're creating dances so frequently, but it's never been this bad. "And this performance is important! It's not a small combo that only my class is going to see, it's something me and Jungwon will be performing for a special event."

Sunoo could see the tension rising in his shoulders. If this was a cartoon smoke would probably be coming out of Niki's ears. "Not to mention I had to deal with some overbearing, nasty mother angry about god knows what, holding me back almost an hour."

He was going to go on and on and Sunoo knew that so he decided to try and calm his boyfriend down.

"Niki." His soothing hands gently went down Niki's arms, gradually connecting with his hands. "Breath for me."

The younger may look intimidating with his handsome face and tall stature, but Sunoo knew, better than anyone, that he was a big baby.

"You can rant and complain about all of this later, but now I think you need to just relax, okay?"

In response Niki shook his hands out of his boyfriend's arms immediately wrapping around Sunoo's body. Sunoo was confused but hugged back regardless.

The studs like that for a couple minutes. "I feel better already."

Sunoo furrowed his eyebrows at his boyfriend. "How? It's barely been five minutes." Sunoo was not complaining in the slightest. Cuddling with Niki was actually one of his favourite pastimes, but he was never this clingy out of nowhere.

"Hugging you makes my stress melt away." Niki had said this before and he'll keep saying it again. "You're all I need."
