Hi. I'm Ruby Rose Saphire. Edleast that's what my last name used to be. My last name now is Maron. Ruby Rose Maron. Has a ring to it, I like it. I'm a 14 year old girl... I guess you need an explanation on how the Captain Sparkles became my father. Well it all started when I was at an adoption center because my mom and dad said I was a "burden on the family" I'm not sure exactly what that word means but here is how it went.
Ruby's POV ----->
"Another day, another hour or watching another kid get adopted.", I groan waking up and stretching my arms.
I climb out of bed as my feet touch the splinterey wooden floor. I set out my Carter Reynolds shirt I got when I went to the mall and some black skinny jeans to match the black shirt. I slide out some white vans that I always wear and set them on the floor in front of my bed then knock on the door to the bathroom.
"Anyone in there?", I ask knocking louder. "Hello?"
I opened the door and it was empty. I took a shower then got dressed. I pulled out my phone and began watching Carter's videos on YouTube.
An hour later or something like that I heard Miss Angelina call to us. "Coming!", I shouted.
I walk down the stairs dragging my feet knowing somebody was getting adopted and it wouldn't be me that's for sure.
"Girls today is special. Two people are coming at different times to adopt two of you.", Miss Angelina says. "I need you on your best behavior. That means you Ruby."
"'course.", I say crossing my arms. What else am I here for? Getting adopted, pfft no.
A man walks in and he had blonde hair and a muscle body look with blue eyes to top it off.
"Girls this is Lachlan. Introduce yourselves."
30 minutes later Lachlan leaves with a girl named Sophie and I sigh.
"Can I leave now.", I ask Miss Angelina.
"No. There is still another man coming he should be here any second.", she tells me.
"Will I ever get adopted?"
"Sweetie of course. Its just taking longer then you want."
I was about to say something else but I was inturpted by a tall man with black hair and brown eyes walk in. I noticed his shirt had some fail of a superman logo on it.
"You know what to do girls!", Miss Angelina says.

"I'd like to adopt Miss Ruby over there.", I hear the man say. My eyes lit up and I jumped to my feet in excitement.
"Me!?", I say loudly to him. I brush my self off. "I mean... Me? That's cool."
"Yepp! You!", he chuckles. "Go get your stuff I'll be waiting outside."
I run to my room and throw my clothes in a suitcase and the rest of my stuff in my other suitcase my phone staying in my pocket.
I run down the stairs with my suitcases dragging behind me making me have to run faster.
The man takes my suitcases and puts them in the back of the truck before starting the car.
"The house isn't too far of a drive from here. My name is Jordan by the way!", he says cheefully.
I nod my head and adjust the collar of my shirt.
"Carter Reynolds?", I hear Jordan ask.
"Yeah. He's kinda my idol. Along with this guy who plays minecraft but I don't really understand that game.", I say scratching my neck.
"What's his name?"
"Minecraft Universe."
"I know him! He's actually a good buddy of mine!", Jordan says getting exited.
"Really?!"
"Yeah! I kinda do those videos aswel! We've talked alot."
"Can I meet him!", I ask smiling.
"Are you gonna fangirl?"
"What's that.", I ask turning my head.
"When you scream and jump around over a person."
"I don't do that. Never have and never will.", I say firmly.
"Well alright then. Tuesday sound good?", he asks as we pull into a driveway.
"Any day!"
We walk inside the huge house and my mouth drops. "You sure we didn't walk into the presidents house?"
"The president lives at the white house."
"No way.", I say sarcastically. "White house"
"Oh.", he says chuckling. "Let me show you your room."
We walk down a hallway and into a room decorated in sparkles and letters.
"Yeah... That door is changing.", I chuckle walking inside the room.
The room was decorated in black and white. The bed was a checker board theme and the walls were white while the carpet was black.
"Oh my gosh.", I say dropping my bags probably breaking stuff. "This. Is. AMAZING!"
"Haha glad you like it!", Jordan says smiling.
"I love it so much!"
Jordan leaves the room and I start putting my clothes away I noticed a window in my room. I looked out it and saw the roof was right there.
"That's good. Edleast I'll still be able to go on a roof.", I sigh and finish originizing everything.
At the foster home I used to always go on the roof and sing or hum softly to myself. It let me relax for a while.
I started hearing laughter from downstairs and decided to go check it out.
"-but it wouldn't be ready.", I hear Jordan's voice say.
"Jordan?", I ask walking down the stairs.
"Oh! I almost forgot. Ashley this is Ruby. Ruby this is Ashley. Ashley does that minecraft thing aswel.", Jordan says introducing us. "I just adopted Ruby today."
"Well it's very nice to meet you!", Ashley says holding her hand out.
I didn't shake her had just nodded and walked away. There was something I didn't like about her, I just didn't know what.
Ashley. Ashley. The name was so familiar yet I couldn't figure out why.
