The clouds shed tears, and not a glimpse of light was shown. If she were to cry, no one would know, no one would care.

She didn't have an umbrella, that would make people just notice she was shedding tears. She didn't need that, she'd just be weak.

"I can't deal with this world." She spoke standing at the end of the wooden boardwalk. Looking down at the water, droplets came down crashing making ripples in the ocean.

Should I jump? She questioned herself. Her damp hair covered the soulless eyes, her eyes were the cause of all this. The reason everyone made fun of her. But in the end, she decided not to, turning around and making her way back to the hellhole she lived in.

She slipped, falling back into the ocean. It was dark, and cold, in the abyss. Not able to feel the bottom. She felt at peace, never wanting to leave. She relaxed her body feeling herself sink deeper. But that all ended too quickly.

She was pulled out, coughing the water out.

"Are you okay?" A familiar voice asked her. She couldn't look at him, too ashamed of herself.

"Y-yeah." She stuttered being pulled into the sand. The rain didn't stop. But her tears were covered up, or so she thought.

"Why are you crying?" He asked.

"H-how can you tell?" She was surprised, finally having the courage to lock eyes with him. But her vision was blurry. She cursed at herself not being able to see. But the voice. It was him, the one she had longed for so long. But does he remember her?

"It's quite obvious, you look broken."

"Thanks for noticing," she said looking away. She wanted to ask so many questions, but he didn't remember her.

*play deep end right now* :)

How've you been? I guess you're fine...

It's been pretty long since we've last seen

Honestly

Throughout my life

Deep inside

I've never felt alive

"Uhm hello?" He asked, waving his hand in front of her concerned face.

"Y-yes?"

"You're gonna get sick if you don't head home now." He helped her to her feet. Her legs were trembling and shaking from the cold.

"Do you need a ride?"

"N-no, I'm good. I'll just walk."

"You'll get a cold, let me take you."

"You're a stranger," She pointed to him. "Stranger danger." Speaking up as she looked up at her old lover, the one she could never see.

"I just saved your life though..." His voice descended.

"Well yeah... but that's different."

"Different how?"

"It's hard to ex-"

"Then let's no longer be strangers." He boldly spoke up "I'm Ronan." He held out his hand, she felt his fingers lightly brushing against hers.

"I'm Kira," She managed to speak.

I~

Sinking in the deep end

Just try~

to cry myself to sleep~

Memories in the ocean flooded into her brain, she wanted that feeling again. The feeling of silence, at peace. But he's back, she wanted him, and she needed him. The urge to burst into tears and hug him.

But he doesn't know, he doesn't remember.

He will.... right?
