DAIYAN MALIK
I finally reached my house . After 3 years I'm back here. I pressed the door bell and waited for someone to open it.
After sometime I heard some voices from inside and i knew who it was.
In some second the door got opened revealing my dearest amma, i call her amma but sometimes ammi when i got little frustrated. She smiled and hugged me i hugged her back.
"Ya allah my son has became more handsome mashallah " my amma said with adding little drama, i chuckled on her behaviour she is so goofy and chilling person and I'm the opposite one.
"How are you amma?" I asked her breaking the hug and smiled at her
"I'm fine daiyan,,..but you become skinny " she said while taking me towards hall where the first thing I saw was my two sisters.
They both ran towards me and I engulfed them in a hug.
"Bhai I missed you so much" sehrish my sister said and I patted her head
"But I missed you more Bhai " Halima my little sister said with a cute pout.
"No I missed him more"sehrish said while breaking the hug and put her both hands either side of her waist like a grandmother
"No I missed Bhai more than anyone " she said crossing her hands on her chest, I chuckled
"Just say you miss Bhai because he was the one who used to buy you chocolates and toys " sehrish said and Halima show her death glare.
Aish this kids, they are grown up but their brain is still the same.
Just then I heard someone's voice I turned around and found my cousin brother Azael.
He came and hugged me
"You should have called me to pick you up" he said while breaking the hug
"It's ok i know the route" I said playfully with small smile which is very rare
"Btw are these monkeys bothering you?" Azael said and sehrish and Halima instantly looked at him with wide eyes and mouth hung low
"What did you said , you donkey. Halima let's teamup to kill him" sehrish said and Halima nodded in aggression ready to fight and in no time they started to chase eachother in the whole hall and Amma was shouting
"Baccho please stop your tom and Jerry game. My son has came after a long journey let him relax " Amma said and I chuckled and said
"It's ok Amma let them do whatever they are doing. " I said with smile which only my family can witness
"Ok beta now go and freshen up after that we have to go and choose khithbah (engagement) ring for your wife" she said and instantly the smile which was lingering a moment ago was now long gone and a annoyed face has covered my face.
"I'm going to regret coming here" I mumbled only audible to me
"But why me Amma you yourself go and buy it I'm not interested in these shits" I said and was about to go but I heard her next word
"Yeah yeah I know no one loves me and you too daiyan " she said making fake sad and crying face. I just can't win from my Amma. But what to do i love her the most so I sigh and said
"Okay you won , I'll come with you" I said and left, not in my room, in my dadi ammi's room.
"I entered in her room and saw her reciting tasbeeh. I went to her and closed her eyes with my hands
"Daiyan!" She said and I got surprise how could she recognised me
"How do you know it's me?" I asked her removing my hands from her eyes and going in front of her she smiled and took me to sit on bed
"I'm your father's Amma" she said with smile and I smiled and hugged her. I'm may be cold, arrogant and heartless person for world but for my Amma and dadi ammi I'm a small child.
"How have you been?" I asked her putting my one hand on her with smiled plastered on my face
"I should ask this question!" She said caressing my hands and I chuckled bitterly
"What do you think?"i asked her and she caressed my cheeks
"You still love her" I put my head on dadi ammi's lap while her memories started to flash infront of my eyes.
She stroke my hair and said
"Try to move on beta" she said and I shaked my head
"I can't dadi ammi , i don't want to. I can't give her place to anyone. I'm just doing this marriage for amma's and everyone's happiness" i said while looking at the window
"What about your happiness?" She said
"It was gone with her. The day she left me, she took all the lights and colours from my life" I said and closed my eyes

"Amma you go inside I'm waiting here" I said to her because the whole place was filled with ladies and idk why Amma choose this place
"You have to choose it" she ordered me with angry look
"Amma please you should go and choose I trust your choice" i said in hope to convince her
"I know that's why you got agree to marry" she said and left inside leaving me with so many questions.
I was in my thoughts while leaning against my car scrolling my phone until a girl passed from me and again that anklet sound.
A wave of wind came making her dupatta fall on my face making my heart beat faster than ever and my all the surrounding stop. Just the cold winds and the melodious voice of her jhumka and anklet was jingling.
I felt a kind of strange feeling again.
And unknowingly my feet started to follow her with her dupatta still stuck in my wrist watch. She wasn't aware of it and idk why I was just following her with my steady heart beats.
"Bhai" sehrish shout made me come back to reality and I looked back at her and i felt that girl removing her dupatta from my watch and when I intended to say something, she was already gone.
"What are you doing here? Amma is finding you,,,!"she said questioning me
"Nothing let's go " i said and we both started to move towards our car
"Who was she?" She asked me and i looked back in case if I could get her glimpse
"Don't know " I said with shrugging the weird thoughts.
