The Deal I Made

Chapter 2

The next morning I woke up pretty early.

I looked at the time on my phone and saw that it was just past 5am.

So I decided to go to the bathroom and start to get ready.

I got up, out of bed and made the bed.

When I was done, I walked to my closet to get the clothes I wanted to wear.

Deciding on a pair of light blue bootleg jeans, a long sleeved black top, black underwear, black socks and my black boots.

After grabbing my clothes, I went to the bathroom to get dressed and do my makeup, hair, use the loo and brush my teeth.

I looked up in the mirror and saw that both my lip and cheek were bleeding and had dried blood smeared over some places on my face.

My left eye was a little blue, but my cheek was all swollen up and bruised badly.

But I started to cover it up as best I could with my makeup.

For my lips, I just put a clear coat of lip balm on it and went to finish up in the bathroom.

By the time I was done, the time read 6:47am.

So with that, I grabbed my phone and left my room to go to the kitchen downstairs.

But when I got there, both my parents were already there making coffee and chatting like normal.

When they saw me, my father came over to me and gave me a big hug.

"Morning sweetheart. I see you are all ready to go. Let's have a bit of coffee and breakfast then we can leave." He said as he gave me a kiss on my forehead before going back to helping my mom.

And just like that, all was forgotten.

After an hour of just chatting about and having a laugh, we decided to go to the mall.

But as usual my mother was not ready yet.

But my father and I told her to hurry up, or else we will leave without her.

So not even 15 minutes later, she was all done.

So then we were off to the mall.

On our way there, we sang to the songs, and danced in our seats and just had the time of our lives.

By the time we got there, we were so out of breath. But also in a very good mood.

What happened last night was all forgiven and forgotten.

We first went to several stores. All of which were just for underwear.

Then the next few stores, we got shoes.

But the last few stores we went to, we got clothes. And a whole bunch of it.

By the time we were done it was just past 3pm and we were starving. So we decided to go and have lunch.

But when we sat down my parents said they have forgotten something and that I should just wait for them here.

And that is exactly what I am doing right now.

As I was waiting for them, a waiter came over to me and asked if I wanted to order something while I waited.

I ordered a coke. When my order came back, I took a few sips and started to mindlessly play with the ice in the glass with the straw. Watching all the people walk by.

I looked at the couples. They seemed so happy. So in love.

I looked away before I could cry.

I never had that.
