Tainted Love Reunited

TLR: prologue

It was the day before his sentencing. Even though Robyn and he were not supposed to be in contact, they managed to find a way to each other. She promised she would testify during the last summoning... maybe then they'll lessen his punishment.

"I love you baby, no matter what happens. I'm sorry, you know. I'll never do it again," Chris said.

"I love you too..." said Robyn with a far look in her eyes as she stared at the man in front of her. She loved him with all of her soul, mind, and body... but he fucked up, BIG TIME. She knew everyone thought of her as weak and as a victim for going back over and over but she couldn't help it. Life without this man was not something she pictured, but now life with him is detrimental.

"Baby look at me," Chris said trying to touch her cheek but she flinched.

Robyn looked over at him with sorrow in her eyes, "im sorry baby," he said.

That's all he ever seemed to say now, "I love you" and "Im sorry"

Robyn had to leave, her manager, Sean Carter, called her up and scheduled an emergency meeting. She knew she had to attend this meeting but she didn't want to. This could be potentially the last time she saw Chris, although she was sure her testimony would not put him in jail. That's why she was doing it. She'd rather he have a punishment out in the world so she can at least see him and know he was ok than behind bars....but that evil part of her that was broken and hurt hated him and wanted to see him suffer.

"Babe... babe! ... Baby...! Robyn," Chris shouted to get her out of her zone.

Robyn jumped and turned to him, "oh sorry, I have to go Chris. I'll see you tomorrow. Don't worry you'll be fine ok?" she kissed him and left hurriedly.

She did not know how she ended up in this position. Torn between her career and her lover. Why was God punishing her? She had to keep a stoic tough face while being photographed but she was shattered inside. . All this thinking, she ended up in front of Roc Nation Offices. Going up and inside the elevator, she felt the stares on her back. Everyone was waiting for her to break down or do something. When she reached his office, she knocked and went in...

"Hello Ms. Fenty, please sit" said Mr. Carter....

The Next Morning

Everyone was outside the court house, TMZ, Bossip, Hollywoodlife, even CNN. Everyone was here to witness the sentencing of Chris Brown, including her.

After all the testimonies that were scheduled to be made were done. . The judge wanted anyone who wanted to speak their finals to do so.

"Is there anything else anyone has to say, Mr. Brown?" he asked.

"No," Said Chris quietly.

"Ms. Fenty," he stared at her.

Everyone held their breathe, especially Chris. This testimony would either make or break him. He was sure she had his back, their love was strong and----

"No... no I don't," Said Rihanna...

Chris turned and looked at her. Not quite sure he heard her correctly. She promised, SHE PROMISED!

Chris sat stoic throughout the rest of the session, clenching and unclenching his jaw. He felt her stare from across the room but he refused to look at her...she betrayed him. Yes, he was wrong and he apologized to her over and over even though he saw she hated him a little. But their love was strong; he knew she would rather have him out in the open even if she couldn't talk to him, than have him in jail. How could she do this to him?

Rihanna stared at him. Willing him to turn and look at her so he can look into her eyes. She wanted him to find the answers in her eyes but he didn't turn. He didn't look.

"Mr. Brown, I sentence you to 5 years in prison for assaulting Ms.Fenty. You two may not communicate for those 5 years. You will attend domestic violence counseling while in prison and anger management classes as well. Court Adjourned", she shouted out while everyone was murmuring and shouting.

Half of the court was cheering, while the other half was in tears.

"My baby, not my baby, please not my baby. Mark do something, please do something," Mama Joyce cried out in despair. Her son didn't deserve this kind of punishment; he was so kind and loving.

Chris was in shock, he was going to prison. He was going to prison, and it was all her fault. He was lifted up by the officer and handcuffed. Everyone stared at him and he was hauled away but before he left, he hugged his mother and gave her a kiss. Before taking the door to the cell, he looked back at her.

Rihanna stared at him and felt her inside churn... she had actually done it. Sent the love of her life to prison. A tear fell out of her eye as he turned to look at her.

All she saw was hate.
