TLR: Chapter III

Chris' time in jail was not easy. He was being picked on and always getting snide comments but he learned how to walk away. At first, his stubbornness almost earned him another year behind bars for fighting but the judge let him escape with a warning. Today he was getting a review from the judge and possibly getting his sentence reduced by a year meaning he could go home within the next 2 months.

Mark, Chris' lawyer, was encouraging him that his time would be reduced and he would soon be out of here.

"You've completed all of your classes Chris. Why else would they keep you here? I see great changes in you and so does your family. I just wish you could see it in yourself. You're not hot headed anymore. You're leveled and you have a big heart. A mistake put you here but it won't be a mistake getting you out," mark said.

Chris' eyes moistened by hearing those words. He was happy he had such a good team supporting him or else this would have been his downfall. He would have probably killed himself feeling the way he was but his family, Mark, and his fans kept him pushing day by day. They were his support system now.

Just then, they were called into the court room. Chris walked in and saw his family sitting in the back. His mom smiled at him but you could see the tiniest case of doubt in her eyes. You could also see the age in her face, with him being away dealing with God knows what she pictured in her mind, she was constanstly stressed out. He was glad to know he wasn't the only one on the edge but he also knew how much of a toll this was taking on his mother. He jus couldn't seem to win at all.

" ALL RISE ", the bailiff stated and the judge walked in. He read all the rights and started filling Chris up on his files.

" Mr.Brown, you have completed all of your classes but that doesn't mean we can let you off early," he said pointedly.

" I know your honor," Chris stated, " but I've learned that what I did was wrong. I have paid the ultimate price for my mistakes. I lost everything. I'm just trying to find my way back", he finished solemnly.

" well, you're not the only one who can you've changed. I've been keeping tabs on you and I agree that you should be let off early due to good behavior. You shall be released BUT you will be on probation for the rest of your sentence, which is for the next 6 months. I don't wanna see you back here Mr.Brown. Go get yourself together...I hope you've learned your lesson and you have become a better man," the judge spoke.

Chris was so overcome with emotion as tears slipped from his eyes. This was the best news he's heard in years. He looked over to his mother and he saw she was already in tears overjoyed. He was finally going home, he was not going back to that hell hole of a cell.

Meanwhile at the Fenty house.

"Robyn, are you ready to gooo?" Screamed Melissa from downstairs.

They were heading out to watch Matt Kemp, Robyn's current boyfriend's baseball game.

Robyn came running downstairs "Keep your panties in a bunch hoe , im ready," she replied.

Melissa and Robyn headed out. This is only the second time Robyn got to watch a live baseball game. With her busy schedule, she was happy she was at least getting to see Matt play, something he's been complaining about her not doing. She loved Matt, he was really good to her. For the first time since HIM, she was happy. She can remember the first time her and Matt had their first date, he had made her genuinely laugh, something that most people couldn't do.

"You know you're one of the first people to make me laugh that wasn't inside my group of friends," she had said to him at the end of their date.

"Well I'm very honored. I hope I can get the chance to make you laugh more often, you know , you're beyond beautiful but with a smile on your face, you're perfection," he had replied. It was such a cheesy thing to say but it had made her feel good. He was good and that is what she needed.

They arrived at the baseball game and went to go sit down. Robyn did not know a thing about baseball but she liked watching Matt. This was his zen , just like music was hers.

"Go baby !!!! " Robyn screamed from her spot. She was pretty sure he heard her because of how close she was to the field and also because he looked her way and smiled at her as if she was the only girl in his world.

Mel and Rob continued watching the game, occasionally stopping for Robyn to sign autographs from fans and take pictures for instagram. She was so invested in what she was doing she almost did not hear the music in the background. Robyn froze for a second , they were playing HIS song.

"Hey, you ok?" Melissa asked. She had seen Robyn tense up even if it was only for a second.

"yeah, im good," Robyn replied with a fake smile on her face. Melissa saw right through the facade but decided not to approach the situation. It was not the time or place and she knew how sensitive the topic of HIM was to Robyn. She had still yet to find out what happened with her best friend in that courtroom but the more she tried to approach her about it, the more closed down Robyn became so she avoided the subject. Her best friend would tell her one day...

Robyn continued watching the game but her mind was elsewhere. She had been caught off guard by hearing HIS music. It was almost as if he were humming the song in her ear, just like he had about four years ago.

Robyn and Chris had just finished having sex. She was cuddled up against Chris and he was running his hands on her hair while humming in her ear.

"... And I will never try to deny

So I won't front"

Robyn looked up and gave Chris a kiss. "Is that a new song baby?" she asked.

"Yeah , I was in the studio and this was the new record. It should be titled A song for Robyn if I had it my way but it's gonna be called with you," he replied while looking down on her.

Robyn blinked and the memory seemed to be pulled away. The blank look in her eye faded when she realized she was still at Matt's game. It was basically over, she had zoned out thinking about HIM yet again. Her and Melissa left shortly after before it got too crowded. The Dodgers were winning and she already knew Matt would go to her house afterwards, so she left.

IN THE CAR

"Ben , turn on 105," Melissa requested. She knew the new song Robyn premiered was being played every hour. It would be getting played in the next 3 minutes.

"...and before we get into that new Rihanna joint we just want to announce again that singer Chris Brown is being released from Jail tomorrow morning on good behavior. He will be serving the rest of his sentence on probation. I know this has been buzzing around for the past hour , it is now breaking news..it's trending on Twitter. Seems like everyone has got an opinion over this and everyone is wondering what friends and especially former girlfriend Rihanna has to say. Anyway we shall get some of the reactions after we play this new Rihanna joint, im DJ Prostyle and this is 105.1."
