It had been 3 days since Julian had found out about Andy and me. I was still shaken by what he said. All those hurtful things, the fact that he couldn't even look at me for more than a millisecond and the fact that he wasn't even talking to Andy anymore. Just completely forgot about us. I was lying in bed, and I knew I was in for a sleepless night.
Again.
Over the past few days, that's all I can do. Only getting 1 hour of sleep every night. My aunt hadn't noticed that anything was wrong, but I feel like she had noticed we weren't talking as much. She just thought it was because of school work, but obviously not. I heard my phone buzz on my side table. It was Andy.
"Hey y/n, I was walking with my grandma to my house, and I saw Julian. He stared at me and rolled his eyes when my grandma looked away from him. He started walking faster to your house.". "Just thought I'd let you know," He sent after. "Yeah, um, he isn't talking to me at all unless we are around his mom. I don't know what's happening. " Once I sent that message, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I yelled, putting down my phone.
No one.
"Hello?" I say, getting up to go check outside the door.
No one.
I'm about to close the door when I see something on the ground. Barely visible to the white ground.
I pick it up.
'To, y/n
From Julian'
I walk backwards and close my door. I folded the paper he gave me. It was small but he wrote a lot.
"To y/n,
About these past few days, I'm sorry. I needed time. I'm sorry about how I acted and how I screamed at you. The truth is that you don't know how much of a player he is. He has gone a week with three different girlfriends. I don't want your heart broken. I am trying to protect you, and I hope you know that deep down. It's taken me a while to realize that Andy truly does like you, and he might even love you. I started texting him again a few minutes ago, and he already is talking about how he's never felt this way, and he doesn't think he'll ever leave you. He's never talked this much. He says you're gorgeous, and he would love to grow old with you. Gross. I love you, and y/n you can date him. But remember the rules."
I get up out of my bed to knock on the door.
One, two, three, one, two, three. That was our knocking pattern.
Multiple creaks echo the hallways as he opens the door.
He knows. He smiles as a sign, and I jump in to hug him
"Bro, get off me, or I'll change my mind," He says, laughing.
"Thank you," I respond meaningfully.
