Leo X Catamount! Reader!

A/N: A Catamount is a human that has certain qualities, such as missing collar bone, feline behavior, and sharper senses. They also can morph into a cougar and very rarely a panther.

This was inspired by one of my favorite book series: Serafina.

Background:

You haven't met the turtles yet, but you did know of Draxum and is currently doing all you can to avoid him to prevent any experiments he wants to perform on you. You now find yourself deep in a forest finally able to shift into a cougar and live freely without Draxum interfering.... or so you thought.

You padded through the undergrowth your (e/c) eyes practically glowing in the darkness of the night. All of your senses were one fire you heard and smelt every single thing within a 50-yard radius of you. All was going well after you fled the hidden city, until Draxum found you again which then you moved to this forest that was further from the city, thinking your now finally safe.

Your ear twitched as you heard the chewing of the adult rabbit Infront of you. No, you weren't going to eat it raw, you were going to cook it first. Before the rabbit new it you finished it off swiftly without much effort. You shifted into a human and started walking back to your home, which was a cave.

Once you got there you started cooking it over a fire. After you finished eating you decided to head out and patrol. Not that you needed to it was just to put your nerves and instincts at ease. You couldn't throw off the feeling though that something wasn't right within your territory, like there was an intruder or multiple intruders or something.

You shifted back into a cougar your tannish-brown coat blending into the forest making you basically invisible to the untrained eye. Your ears flicked this way and that listening closely to what was around you, while your mouth was slightly agape to get a better scent of your surroundings.

As you prowled through the undergrowth you heard a shout of pain up ahead off to the side, so naturally you followed the noise careful to stay within the safety of the shadows. What you saw genuinely surprised you and made you absolutely horrified.

Baron Draxum had some turtle human thing with a blue bandanna pinned to a tree by his throat with the turtle thingy gripping at Draxum's hand desperately with his three fingered hand.

"Do you know something about the catamount turtle?" Draxum interrogated gripping the turtles throat tighter, making it gasp.

"F-for the last time what it a catamount!" The turtle rasped but somehow, despite the situation, said jokingly.

"My patients wears thin help me with this one thing and I will let you go, and I won't go near you or your brothers" Draxum said finality in his voice.

"Why would I help you?! YOU THREW ME OFF A ROOF!!" The turtle said exasperated.

"You leave me no choice" Draxum said and started to fully constrict the turtle.

I would not let this stand, not only has he chased me, hurt me, and wanted to experiment on me, BUT he wants to hurt another person?! With that thought I growled. My growl sounding like thunder rolling across the clearing, causing Draxum to look around and loosen his hold on the turtle, letting them gasp for air then also look around confused.

"Show yourself Catamount!" Draxum shouted into the trees, the turtle looked even more confused.

I stayed silent once more.
