Lexis ventured across the desert her orange and green fur shouldering in the heat she entered a pyramid to escape from the Sun's rays she was sent to explore it anyway the wolf placed her supplies on the ground she had been saving them for when she needed them most, the canine bite a bottle cap she turned her head twisting it this in turn opened the bottle of water she drank all of it down in one gulp not a very wise choice from her perspective but at least she had more of them. they marched forward the mission still on their mind the further they walked the darker the environment around her seemed to become she used her fire abilities to light a flame benenth her paws she used it as a light to illuminate her way through the pyramid the light gifted by her own fire being the only that illuminating their way through the corridors she saw strange figures wrapped in tombs she had expected to see dead humans in here of course it was a trademark of these places but these creatures... weren't human in fact they weren't like any creature she had ever heard of or seen their appearance hard to rationalise it being a red flag to turn back that she unfortunately did not notice she continued down the pathway it now becoming so dark even the glowing flame could be seen she felt herself bump into a stone wall she got a fright stumbling backwards with her tail between her legs the wall raised revealing a luminance so bright it was at first disorienting for her to look upon it once her eyes got somewhat used to what was in front of them she saw a glimpse of a creature she couldn't register it was beyond comprehension her mind and body both equally screaming for her to run the wall suddenly closed leaving her in darkness once again as she bolted for the entrance leaving the pyramid as quickly as she could later that day when she got home she entered the fire pack river it helping her relax a little the water provided her some comfort at least she would however never forget what she witnessed.
