It's been an hour since he left. His words are still ringing in my ears.

Mom denied his offer but no matter how I look at the matter it's true that we need help.

That day changed a lot in our life.
He is the one who ruined our family, he took away everything. After the incident, my dad collapsed. He was diagnosed with a tumor. He is still in hospital and his mom is also in poor health.

I had to quit my studies for work. I never said it Mom but I know it's not enough. He knew all of this. He knew.

" I don't have much time, angel. You only have 24 hours. Either you choose yourself or your family it's up to you "That's what he said before he left.

My first love turned into such a monster.

" I know, what are you thinking angel? Don't do that please." Mom murmured while standing at the door.

I can hear defeat in her voice. In these last 7 years, I never saw her like this. There is wetness in the eyes. She cried.

She came near me and sat on the bed. She took me in her arms as she wanted to protect me from this black hole.

I hug her back.

" Mom it's the last option available, we have to do this, for Dad" I whispered to her.

The doctor said Dad needed surgery a few months back to survive. We tried every way but couldn't raise the amount.

Mom started crying and I let her do that.

You are the one who wants this wedding Liam but I will be the one to destroy. Just wait and watch. I will make you pay for that day.

I don't believe in karma anymore I will be your karma, Liam.

Mom slept in my room the whole night but couldn't even blink my eyes.

I remember the first time when I saw Liam. He was my brother's best friend.

When Harris brought him home for the first time. I couldn't help but stare at him. It feels like decades have passed since then.  He was my love at first sight.

The night passed thinking about those memories.

It's 7 in the morning. I made up my mind. I called him and he picked up.

"What a nice start to the day,  Tesoro" he sounds like he is working out. I can see him grinning even on the phone.

" I decided to accept your offer," I said defeated.

"It's not like you have any other choice,  angel" he replied.

" I can't believe it's so easy to break you. Is that how much your hatred means to you, Tesoro?" he chuckled.
His voice sounds a little deeper than usual.

"Tesoro, are you laughing? In this situation? Have you lost your screw? "he seems to be baffled.

"Isn't it too early to decide who's gonna suffer more in this contract, honey" I challenged him.

" Interesting then be ready, we will marry tomorrow " he announced.

"Tomm.. tomorrow, how will  everything be managed?" I complained.

"come on, Tesoro it's not like you are having your dream marriage or something remember? Be ready for tomorrow " he declared as if he would be the only one who would be married.

"Whatever, I am" I cut the call. He is the most annoying person I have ever met, idiot.

So all I have to do is to tell mom everything.

How am I supposed to drop this time bomb on her? She might be shocked after listening to this.

An hour passed but I still couldn't figure out how to do this.

"Angel, come down right now" Mom shouted.

God, why can't I have a single peaceful say?

"what Mom" By the time I reached downstairs I was astonished.

"Mom, what is this "I asked even when I knew the answer very well.

"you tell me, angel. What the fuck is this? I thought we had some time but you two decided for tomorrow. Why are both so eager to do this?" Mom questioned me.

As if I know the answer.

"I don't know, I don't know anything " I never felt so defeated.

" Mom, please let's get over it. We don't have an option." she looks while sobbing.

" When did you grow up this much? " she patted my head.

I hug her to hide the tsunami rising inside me.

Liam, this marriage will be hell for you I promise you that.
