Chapter 6: Dinner

Jihyo was carrying Milo who was licking her continuously when she frozed out of confusion for a minute upon seeing the person infront of her, "What...are...you...—?"

"You?", Taehyung in surprise. He cannot help but grin widely because of the coincidence. It was in his personality to find fun in such events. Also, from the first day whenever he sees Jihyo his mischievous behaviour takes over him, as Jihyo gets annoyed easily and even if she doesn't, she still pretends to be which Taehyung always notices.

"You two know each other?"—Jihyo's mother.

"Yeah she's—", "He's—", they both together.

"He's Mr. Kim's, I mean my boss's son. We work together"—Jihyo.

"Oh really? What a coincidence!"— Jihyo's mother.

Taehyung didn't knew much about Jihyo as she doesn't show much of her personality infront of him and mostly pretend to be annoyed by him. Also during lunch Jihyo doesn't talk too much infront of him instead just observes him chatting and bonding with her friends with his happy-go-lucky nature. He also wanted to bond with Jihyo as co-workers but considering Jihyo's nature towards him, it was perfect the way he was.

Taehyung sure is an optimistic person but he also is a sensitive person with deep thinking. He always tries to know about people by observing and the same he was doing with Jihyo. He knew Jihyo is a sincere and at the same time a cool minded person, just by observing her. The same he was doing here, taking every bit of information by observing her just to know her. He was a little amazed how he and her parents are here for a week and Jihyo haven't told her about who is she working with.

"But again why are you here? And how do you both know him?", Jihyo asked.

"Remember, we told you someone helped us at the airport, that's him", Jihyo's mother.

Jihyo eyes widened with an overwhelmed expression looking at Taehyung, "Him?". After a two second pause Jihyo was was hit by her mother's elbow telling her to stop spacing out by which Jihyo came to her senses and let go of Milo which is continued by the korean way of expressing gratitude by bowing and said "Gamsahabnida!".

Taehyung was surprised at the sudden change of Jihyo's attitude towards him. He was not expecting any other answer but he also never imagined such a situation either.

"And today I found him shopping at supermarket, there also he helped me carry bags. It was a good opportunity, so I invited him for dinner. Such a sweet boy!", Jihyo's mom interrupted Jihyo.

"Thank you for looking after my parents—", Jihyo continued but this time was interrupted by Taehyung.

"You don't have to thank me. It was nothing"—Taehyung, who was not able digest Jihyo's sudden attitude, "Also I didn't know this was your house, I didn't mean to disturb you so I think I should leave."

"Wait, please have dinner before you leave at least, consider it as a thank you for helping them", Jihyo who noticed that Taehyung was a little uncomfortable.

Taehyung saw a sincere expression on Jihyo and agreed. Jihyo's mom told her to go and change and returned to the kitchen while Jihyo's father took Milo to feed him. Before going to her room Jihyo whispered to Taehyung, "If you're uncomfortable I can leave", to which Taehyung froze for less than a second and his body moved by himself and ended up holding Jihyo's wrist and uttered, "No!", Jihyo looked at her wrist which was held by Taehyung giving him a signal of what he was doing. Taehyung realized and let go of her wrist, "Sorry, I didn't mean that, also I am not uncomfortable because of you or anyone, I just thought you would be."

"Don't worry. Be my guest", Jihyo replied with a genuine smile which stunned Taehyung as he never thought she would ever talk to him nicely especially with a smile. After which Taehyung went to the dining table joining Jihyo's parents and Jihyo went to her room.
