Chapter 6

Dear diary, 12 November 2016, 8:45pm
I am literally on cloud nine right now. Your boy had his first ever kiss, that too when I sneaked out my house for the first time. Only Tanya knew I was going to a party and I bribed her with a promise to buy her momos and ice cream the next day. That’s not too much of a loss. Besides, it’s better than being caught by my parents and being grounded until my boards with no pocket money. I really don’t understand why Tanya has the most understanding and cool parents while mine are really strict. Bro we are SIBLINGS. Anyways, so at school today, I was hanging out with Shreya and her ‘cool’ friends when Mandy came and invited everyone to her birthday party at this restro-bar. I wasn’t too sure about going as the party as my parents would never let me go to a party that too in a restro-‘BAR’. But Shreya convinced me to go saying it would be fun and all of them are underage anyways and obviously won’t drink. She offered to pick me up with her driver so I can sneak out with out my parents noticing. Since the party was starting at 9, I had a small dinner early and told my parents that I would study and I don’t want any disturbances so I was locking the door. I was about to climb out of my window but got scared. That’s when I realised Tanya had just stepped out of the washroom in my room that I had locked and didn’t expect anyone in it. It took some blackmailing, convincing and bribing for Tanya to not rat me out and also help me climb down the window. Due to all this drama we got to party a bit late but it was really fun. We ate, played spin the bottle and danced. While I was dancing, Shreya pulled me aside to a place which was empty. It was like a balcony. She said she was too tired and wanted some alone time. She thought I would also want to get some fresh air too as I am not used to so much social interaction. We talked and laughed. Few minutes later there was this slow romantic music playing and I asked her to dance with me. I sucked pretty badly at it but as the song ended and we had an eye contact for a solid ten seconds before I went in for a kiss. I gave her a peck and then backed off to make sure she was comfortable. To my shock, she pushed me back towards the wall as she leaned in and kissed me again. Her lips were soft and warm and as our bodies met I could feel her heart racing just like mine. I have always imagined my first kiss but never had I thought it would feel this magical. As we pulled back, she looked into my eyes as she blushed, this was the moment I knew I was in love.

Dear diary, 13 November 2016, 8:57pm
Today was Sunday. No school, so I ended up oversleeping. Especially after yesterday, I had a hard time falling asleep. I just couldn’t stop thinking about her. It was 9:40 am by the time I woke up. Tanya had gone for her music classes and my parents weren’t home. I freshened up and got my phone to text Shreya good morning. But instead, I had received 3 missed calls from her. I called back immediately. Turns out her parents had left for their village for some work and won’t be back till evening. So she asked me to hangout with her and she could help me with my studies too. I agreed obviously but I said, “With you around how can I study? Maybe some reward would help avoid the distraction.” She said that we could watch Netflix and cuddle after studying:) I was blushing as I said I would be there by 11am not realising my mom was back with Tanya and was standing right behind me. She asked, “Where do you think you’re going?” I told her I was going for group study with some of my friends. She wasn’t very convinced but was happy I was making friends and let me go. Shreya definitely wasn’t kidding about the studying part. She made me do two maths exercises and also explained heredity. On top of that she even asked me questions to make sure I was attentive. NGL she is pretty good at teaching. If I continue studying like this I can definitely manage to get atleast 80% in the boards. After 3 hours of strict studying, she let me off. We ordered some biryani and watched friends as we ate. We also watched ‘Jab we met’ as we cuddled but got distracted halfway as we started making out. But istg all we did was kiss. I got back at around 5 and on the way back I bought the momos and ice cream as I had promised Tanya. In the evening, I studied the topics Shreya taught me. I couldn’t let her down you know.
