Her Lisa isn't the most romantic person out there. As simple as that. And after exactly ten years of being together and three very vivid discussions that still manage to bring Jennie a headache to this date, she has grown to be fine with it.

Well, obviously Jennie isn't going to be ecstatic about her wife's lack of grand gestures or her annoying dislike for red roses and lit candles.

Some times are harder than others, like how Lisa tends to dread upcoming anniversaries, her wife knowing that the mentioned days usually comes with a sullen Jennie and an argument brewing right underneath.

But Jennie makes it work somehow.

She sure as hell loves Lisa a lot more than to let that come between them. Or anything for that matter.

Still, it doesn't mean she can't be bothered by it sometimes. Lisa has a lot of other good qualities, making up for small gestures of kindness. Like making sure that the dinner is done and heated whenever Jennie comes home late from work, or massaging her back after listening to her ramble about old crooked office chairs that make her back and neck sore or about her boss who has basically the same effect.

It's not lack of love that bothers Jennie and she feels half-guilty for even thinking it is an issue. Partly because she had millions of papers to sort but mostly because Lisa is such a great wife. Always supportive, always loving. Unconditionally. Jennie is so happy they're well past the doubt factor, feeling absolutely secure in her relationship.

"Oh you're going to be in trouble if Jessica sees you slacking like that." Jisoo calls at her warningly from across the desk, her dark chocolate eyes barely visible above her computer screen, saving Jennie from getting stuck in her own mind.

"Shit." Jennie blurts out as she looks at the growing pile of papers, immediately reaching for the first one and scanning it with her eyes, biting down on her lip.

"What's up with you? I haven't seen you this distracted since the time Lisa sent you a dirty text." Jisoo teases as her smirks widen seeing Jennie's cheeks flush bright red.

"Shut up." Jennie mumbles, making sure to dig back into the stack of papers. It's unconscious, or maybe Jennie means it, but she lets out an audible sigh, one that Jisoo immediately catches into.

"Okay seriously what's going on with you today?" Jisoo asks again, furrowing her eyebrows together, as she looks at the brunette, expecting an explanation. "Has Lisa done something? You're rarely this quiet about your relationship."

Jennie ponders her next move for a few seconds, not sure if she should tell Jisoo or not. One thing is whining inside her head, another is to actually air her complaints out loud. It's not how Lisa and her usually do. Their communication is solid rock, which is why they always come to each other first.

However today is their anniversary and Jennie is extra venerable. She's allowed to let off some strange to her colleague / best friend.

"It's our tenth year of being together.' Jennie admits and mentioning anything in regard of Lisa has her habitually, rubbing at the platinum band attached to her finger, becoming immensely aware that the ring should be enough itself. The wedding was purely Jennie's wish and Lisa granted it between their fifth and sixth year of dating.

"So? I know I'm awfully single right now. But anniversaries are usually a good thing." Jisoo counter, thoroughly confused at the brown-eyed girl's downhearted behaviour.

"It's not about the anniversary, or it is but it's not that big of a deal." Jennie tries to explain, fumbling a bit with how to voice her issue elegantly so she just let her dilemma out flatly. "Lisa doesn't like romance."
