"It was nice of her to come over." Liam said to me. He turned on the telly and we watched it together.

"She thought I would be gone." I said.

"I'm sure that's not true." His tone wasn't convincing, not at all. In fact, my explanation for her visit seemed to make alot of sense to him.

"She told me so." I said. Liam didn't reply. Instead he turned on a football match and pretended to be really intrigued. "Why does she hate me?" I asked him, pretending to make converstaion. But really, his answer mattered to me alot.

"She doesn't hate you." Liam reasoned.

"Come on Liam! She flinched when she saw me today. If that's not hate, I don't know what is." I told him.

"Harry, you don't want to go there. I promise you." He said. What the fuck did that mean?

"Liam I swear to God I do." He sighed.

"Sienna was in alot of pain for a very long time. She's very guarded." He said simply. I rolled my eyes. Tell me something I don't know, Liam. I fucking watched her go through that. I was the one she turned to when she was in pain, I was the one that waited on her hand and foot when she decided she had had enough. The only reason I wasn't now was because she had decided she didn't need my services.

"Don't bullshit me Liam. She hates me for a reason."

"And you expect me to have all the answers? Like I just said, she keeps her guard up." He added. But I knew he was lying. Liam knew more than he was letting on. He was just trying to avoid a conflict.

"You don't have to sugarcoat things with me. Just say what you have to say." I told him. He sighed.

"Why do you think she hates you? You're very rude to her." Liam looked pissed now. He had clearly wanted deep down to have this conversation for a while.

"I'm rude? She told me the only reason she came here was because she thought I would be gone!" I shouted. I was pissed now too, because my best mate wasn't even on my side. He thought I was an arse too.

"Look, I don't know how you two know eachother, but maybe you should make things right with her." Liam said. "It can't hurt, can it?" Actually it could. Alot.

"It's complicated." I mumbled.Liam rolled his eyes.

"So you both have told me." She's talked about me? I stared at the telly.

"Fine." Liam said, and strolled towards the kitchen before he stopped to look at me. "Will you at least think about it? She's really a great girl, you know." I said nothing.

Yeah Liam, I know.

*4 years earlier*

"Can you stay with me tonight?" I asked her. Sienna smiled.

"Yeah. I would like that alot." She said. We were both sitting on my bed.

"Good." I smiled. She wrapped her legs around my waist, and I kissed her lightly on the lips. I was grateful for Sienna. I needed her.

"Let's get you cleaned up shall we?" Sienna said, and pulled me into my kitchen so she could bandage my cuts. My mom and sister were away for the weekend. Me and Sienna had gone to the club, but things had gone astray when one of her many admirers had gone a little too far for my tastes. I had gotten a black eye and a few cuts, but it was worth it. The bastard certainly deserved it anyway.

I watched her as she cleaned my cuts. Her touch felt good to my skin.

"I'll have a hard time explaining this to Mum." I joked. She laughed. She still hadn't met my mum yet, even though I'd called her mine for a good six months. I would have to introduce them soon. Sienna hadn't introduced me to her parents though either.

"How come you haven't introduced me to your Mum?" I asked her. Her expression flickered for a moment. I knew her parents were a touchy subject, but she had never said why. All I knew was that they were separated.

"You don't want to meet her." She said simply.

"But I do!" I protested. Sienna sighed.

"No, you don't Harry. You would just just get pissed or feel sorry for me, and the last thing I need is pity." She said.

"I could never pity you. I think too much of you to ever feel sorry for you." I said, and reached for her hand. She looked up at me. Her blue eyes were gorgeous.

"My mom is depressed Harry. She doesn't care about me. She doesn't work, she doesn't do anything but lay in bed all day. I have to force her to eat half the time. Because she just doesn't care. It's not a sight you would want to see. Like I said, you wouldn't want to meet her." Sienna looked down again, and went to throw the wrappers from the bandages in the trash. I shouldn't have asked her. But I still had more questions.

"What about your dad?" Dammit. Why must I have such a big mouth? Sienna stopped moving. There was an awkward pause.

"I haven't seen my dad or my brother in 2 years. They don't care either." She said, and exhaled. I wanted to apologize for asking, but that would only make things worse. I could tell she was upset, even though she was trying to hide it. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her.

"I care." I whispered.

"I know." She mumbled. She gave me a small smile, and she kissed me on the cheek. "I should probably go."

"But I thought you said you could stay!"

" I did. But now that I think about it, I should probably get back to Mum." She said tiredly. I had a feeling that Sienna led a much more complicated life than I had realized.I wanted to help.

"Can I come with?" I asked timidly. She considered my offer.

"Not tonight." She told me. "Maybe sometime though." She squeezed my hand.

"I'll be looking forward to it. Can I at least drive you?" I begged her. There was no way I would be letting her walk.

"Yes." She opened my front door, and I walked her to my car.

Nobody ever understood me and Sienna's relationship. Not even us. Because it was fucking complicated. One day we're in love, the next we can't stand eachother. And it only left us both broken. Just like now. Maybe I did need to fix things for between us. Not for Liam, and not for Sienna. But for me.
